Help! Ok, One of my computers has a problem, it will start I can open all the programs and even go to the internet but if I try to go to any of these desk top short cuts: My Documents, My Computer, My Network Places, or right click and go in to Explore.
I have ran a couple of different spyware removers. One from yahoo, and the other was call adware spyware remover (I think). Do any of you computer people have a clue? I am on some tight deadlines I have magazines I have to have out by Tuesday.

I don't understand what the problem is. Please explain further and mention your operating system ( example, Microsoft Windows XP SP2, Fedora Core 3 )

Sorry! Windows XP pro. It lockes up tight everytime I try to do anything I listed in the previous post.

Have you tried booting into Safe Mode and restoring to a date prior to your computer having these problems?

Gene,
Until the Redmond Rescue squad gets here try this,

1. Do what Gator said,

2. Try to use another login, if you didn't create one then I think there is a guest one by default, if that fixes it then you know the problem is in your home directory. You may have to create another account, and move your data over.

On Google, I got a lot of hits of spyware causing this problem, but there were no solutions.
