Since kindergarden, mooshie has wanted to be in the school talent show. Competition is stiff and the spots seem to go to the same kids every year. As some of you know, mooshie's talent is more along the lines of visual art (drawing, sculpture) than the performing arts. She is a drama queen though. LOL For the last two years I have encouraged her to do something different than singing or dancing as there were kids who were much better at those. I finally convinced her that a dramatic poetry reading (of a silly poem) would probably ensure her a spot. A few weeks ago I was filling out her audution form in the school office when the secretary asked her what she was going to do for the audition. She very confidently replied "I'm going to play the piano." "Honey", I said, "you don't play the piano." "Yes I do!" she replied. "I can play Chopsticks." She has had a keyboard in her room for a couple of years, but has refused lessons. I finished the form and spent the next few days preparing her for the fall. The next week she came home waving the acceptance form in my face. That's my mooshie...
Last night I watched my gutsy, irrepressible kid kick ass as she played Chopsticks for the audience. I'm so proud! ;;D

Frank's right. Performing in front of others is hard for many of us. You certainly proved to us that it isn't all that hard for you.
