Where's Carl D been?

I am listening to John Legend.

I have a feeling I won't get many replies, but give it a listen anyway (link below), I bet you will like it....

Ditto. I've also been listening to some old Aphex Twin and Massive Attack CD's that I had lying around... I forgot how good that stuff is. The soundtrack to "Pi," reminded me.

Listening to my grand daughter laugh as we chase each other around the house.  Nothing makes you smile like the laughter of a child.

Also listening to a cd bought for Sahara.  It's got songs about girls on it:  Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, isn't She Lovely, Butterfly Kisses, etc.

Currently playing:  Maurice Chevalier - Thank Heaven For Little Girls

Currently I'm listening to "Let Me Let Go" by Faith Hill because I wish I could just let go of some things that I continue to hang on to....this song fits pretty well right now.  Anyways...here is my "sappy love song" playlist that I've been playing for the past couple weeks since the big breakup!

Breath of Heaven - Amy Grant
I'll Be Missing You - Puff Daddy  [smiley=laugh.gif]
My Saving Grace - Mariah Carey
Time to Say Goodbye - Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman
Mary Jane - Alanis Morrisette
I'm Not Supposed to Love You - Bryan White
Walking in Memphis - Bruce Springstein
Make You Love Me - Bonnie Raitt
Dangerously in Love - Destiny's Child
Raining in Baltimore - Counting Crows
Let Him Fly - Dixie Chicks
Kissing You - Desiree
Space Between (acoustic) - DMB
I'll Be - Edwin McCain
My Immortal - Evanescence
100 Years - Five for Fighting
Never is a Promise - Fiona Apple
Somewhere Over the Rainbow - Israel Kamakawiwo
Comfortable - John Mayer
Jupiter - Jewel
Angel Standing By - Jewel
Absence of Fear - Jewel
Underneath - Jessica Simpson
You Don't Have to Let Go - Jessica Simpson
Walk Down that Lonesome Road - James Taylor
Please Remember - Leanne Rimes
Broken Wing - Martina McBride
Bringing on the Heartbreak - Mariah Carey
Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
I Shall Believe - Sheryl Crow
Somewhere - West Side Story
Timeless - Justin Guarini and Kelly Clarkson
Everybody Hurts - REM
Angel - Sarah McLaughlin

Am I a sap yet??  Do I seem like a junior high or high school girl going through another sucky juvenile breakup???  One would think so with this playlist...but at least it keeps me listening. :)  LOL

L2 :)

Lizzie, if you want truly a sappy, yet beautiful song, go to www.cmt.com and listen to Jamie O'neil's song When Did You Know.

you might have register first, though... that's my secret -I go to cmt.com to listen country songs! ;;D

Anyways, I'm still listening to Gretchen Wilson, but also Jamie O'Neil's album Brave.
And these songs:

Rebe McEntire:Somebody
Blaine Larsen: How Do Get That Lonely

I'm here. What'd I miss?

Busy as hell, and trying to round up some numbskulls to get this band going. I may already be replacing my bass player (UGH!) I did finally settle on a name for this covers/ party band.

Protein Shake    ;;D

Also working on drum tracks for the next "FORMER" disc, and still choosing songs for it, and trying to work out bugs in my computer (my 7 year old harddrive is failing, and other kerrap! ) In fact, the chair I am sitting on will collapse at any time now that the stabilizer bar finally fell out of the back, so I may be sitting on my Marshall amp tomorrow, LOL. I also found out I may be moving in a week or so to a downstairs apartment in this same building - not sure yet.

Went to see "Chevelle"  "CrossFade"  "Helmet" and a new band called "Strata" a couple of weeks ago, so my listening has been a bit oldschool this week.

Helmet - Meantime
Chevelle - This Type of Thinking Could Do Us In
My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult - Confessions of a Knife
Strata - 1st
Ted Nugent - Cat Scratch Fever
Anthrax - Sound of White Noise
D.R.I. - Dealing With It
Ramones - Mania
Sum 41 - Chuck
Jellyfish - Spilt Milk
Kasabian - 1st  (Coming March 25 - already out in UK. )
Nirvana - In Utero
Bloodhound Gang - One Fierce Beercoaster
Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness

and two old childhood faves...

Kiss - Rock and Roll Over
&
Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables

Keep 'em crankin'
