I do things like that occasionally, but I generally do them so that I'm not wasting other peoples' bandwidth and time, especially when the space and time could be better used to support people who are in pain, or to actually write something halfway coherent. This pretty much stays confined to this area.
I've yet to see anyone belittle or ignore someone that comes on the Ch specific, intro or meds. board.

After an unseasonably warm and wet January and February there's a winter storm moving into NM today. High will probably not go above 40 and it's windy as hell. Rain at the lower elevations and snow in the mountains.

I live about 25 miles south of Albuquerque.

Oh...and I'm gonna start a Buick of the day thread...just as soon as I find a pic.

Looks like everyones got their panties in a bunch again.

Last I remember, this is the general discussion area.

This is where I go to read pointless crap and maybe get a good laugh here and there.

I see a lot of posts that I don't think I will want to see and I don't open them.

Certain people could post anything and I'd open it. I come to this area to talk to my friends off-topic. Many of the people here are friends with many others here although they have never met. This is the table they all sit at to shoot the sh1t together.

If you don't want to read 'General' off topic messages, then don't click on the link for 'General Posts' because that is where you will find the fluff and pointless banter.

I also read the cluster specific board every day and try to help when I can.

It looks to me like DJs system worked pretty good. The pointless stuff stays here and the CH specific thread has a lot less BS on it.

Just my opinion.

No one has a right to police the MB except DJ...but maybe some of this drivel could be put in the "funnies and jokes" section.  I've been here 6 years now and there has always been fun posts that make us feel good when we're feeling low or in pain...but some of this is just worthless drivel and I suspect one of the reasons a lot of people don't come here anymore.

   I agree that allot of what is written here may not be of interest to others. But it is of interest to a member and a fellow CHer. Like it or not the person that posts here is a sufferer or a supporter.  You are dead wrong to say that a lot of people don't come here anymore its just different people, different people with different personalities and tastes. Maybe that is the real problem or maybe it is the dolling out of stars based on post numbers and not seniority. Any of you guys want mine there yours.     I don't know DJ from Adam but believe me I would be the first one in line if that man ever asked for help. That is how strongly I feel about what he has done for me and everyone else here.     What I don't understand is the verbal attacks on certain members by others. This is kindergarten antics and far worse than any innocent post that is important to the author.
    You never know, that same person that you now villify may be the only person left to  pick you up when you really need it

I don't remember seeing any list of approved and/or appropriate topics and since this is the General Posts board, there is nothing that is "Off Topic."  Only want to talk about Meds?  Go to the Meds board.  Only want to talk about Cluster related issues?  Go to the CH Specific board.

You folks need to look in the mirror.  Every profile here has a person who breathes, thinks, feels and gets cluster headaches just like you do.

And you are more than welcome to go back through and look at the content of what I have posted. With the exception of Jeeps, most of the things I have posted have been specific to either cluster headaches, or in support of someone with cluster headaches.
