Title: Yet Another Night Post by Frank_W on Feb 21st, 2005, 2:06pm Yet Another Night Your teeth glare like a barbed-wire snare And the obscenity of your smile fills up my head As we ride in the back of a hearse. The echo of screaming tires and shattering glass Fills the night, yet another night, Deep in the hot throat of the city. And in an empty room, You nail me like an insect, Helpless to the floor. (Why do I keep coming back?) Your eyes! They shine and glitter like coins in a pond And I'm off... Yet another night, And I wonder if I will survive this time, While I lie on the stone floor, And watch you gorge yourself on the final crumbs of my soul... -Frank H. Weeden |
