Title: boycott Post by sandie99 on Feb 20th, 2005, 7:34am My group work topic at Media & Civic participation course is boycott. I have been searching lots of info about boycott campaigns against Mc Donald's, Neste, Shell, H&M and Coca-Cola which we chose as our topics. If you have some information about boycott campaigns in general, know good web sites I might have missed or have participated yourself, let me know! :) All the tips & advices would be appreciated. We have to give one handout with our topic on Thursday but the official deadline in April 7, when we have our presentation. Best wishes & PFdays, Sandie |

Some boycotts are valid tools for change by grass roots orgs. But you want to look into something interesting, look into boycott as blackmail and how the leaders of some boycotts use them as a sword to gain power, make money and generally bully corporations. It happens alot. |

Boycotts do lend themselves to loud braying, rending of hair and gnashing of teeth. Shunning (http://www.800padutch.com/atafaq.shtml#shun) is much better, RJ |
