the Wonderful Wizard of Hair! Had a coloring mishap! :-/ Wish me luck - I'm going BLONDE!!!!

Oh I hate when that happens...I once tried to add auburn highlights to mine and came out looking like someone melted an orange crayon on my head! Blonde sounds fun...pic please! love, nani

I recall many moons ago I tried to add a few hilights to my hair as well and ended up rather eggplant purple. Now it WAS the late 80's and funky hair color was all the rage...but I wnet to have it fixed and that failed so there was no other option than to have it all stripped, we are talking damn near white...

then off with about 18 inches worth of fried straw, and I had this funky sort of "Flock of Seagull's" do with the funky long fliped bangs and very close shaved back. Was rather cute for clubbing, but it sure didn't go over well with my boss at the time... ;;D

Only pic taken that showed any remaining white was at my sister's wedding.

My hair had grown out some by that time, and I had this really funky featherd do where it was swept to the side and the remaining white tips sort of *sparkled* throughout....even my mother liked the look, and that always took some doing to get her approval... [smiley=laugh.gif]

I had bright red-orange hair once in an attempt to get a nice auburn colour. That was done by a professional, too. Oh man it was hideous!! My hair is naturally very close to black in colour, but everyone who has met me in the past few years only knows me as blonde. If you highlight it enough, it goes beyond highlights into an almost multi-tonal dye look. I love my stylist now. She does a better job with highlighting than anyone I've ever seen! :)

Ever since my "little accident" with the Rogaine, my eyebrows have been longer than Jonny's hair. It's not so bad, now that I've gotten used to it... I just have to look UP all the time! Maybe I'll dye them for that "auburn" look. [smiley=laugh.gif]

My better half is a greying brunette. She got a wild hair (no pun intended) one day (unless you laugh that is) and decided to go blonde. I told her to go for it, even drove her there and waited around for moral support, you know. Her hair turned out much blonder than the stylist or she ever intended. The stylist then put in some sort of blueing to tone down the harsh blonde color. OKAY, I'm no genius, but I do know that yellow and blue = green. And green it was, too. I wanted to laugh so bad. Jane was horrified, the stylist was like "OMG, OMG, I'm so sorry" and I was about to bite my tongue off trying to be all serious and comforting. So they totally bleached the green out and got her back to blonde again. She goes to a different stylist now and I must say she looks good as a blonde. I still get in a shot about her going punk on me every now and then.

Well..........................I LOVE IT! I'm not completely blonde and my red hair is still there. It's very pretty. Different and the cut is amazing! I love my hairsylist!

I was blonde for few minutes once... Scary sight, I must admit. Luckily my hair was dyed red soon after, so no worries... ;;D

I do know that Grecian Formula and swimming pool chlorine don’t mix. Unless it’s St. Patrick’s Day, not quite emerald green but pretty close.

When I was a kid, I had really blonde hair naturally. It started to get dark as I got older. Anyhow...I was like a fish when I was a kid...swam all the time. My grandfather was really into it. He used to make us dive over his arm repeatedly until we practically had swimmer's ear! But..I loved swimming.

There was nothing like watching that pretty blonde hair turn into a nice shade of lite green!!!
