Don't know if you know it, but there's a secure Instant Message client called Skype.

All messages are encrypted, from the time they leave your computer until they are received and un-encrypted at the other person's computer. So, no one can see your conversation. Also, you can transfer up to 4 gigabyte files with it. All the p()rn that goes in file transfers is safe. ;) Works like Yahoo and msn, but better. It's also a VoIP, so you can talk online with a headset with a microphone or with speakers and a mic. Just like talking on the phone. Check it out.

Oh I used that forever ago, on my old pc. Talked to Svenn on it, it worked awesome! The connection was just like a phoneline!

I am pjbgravely, everywhere. I still haven't tested the phone side but everything else works on the new release.
