Title: I got bad news today! Post by LadyElaine on Feb 13th, 2005, 7:22pm My mom was told and she also feels that my dad won't be with us much longer. The doctors say a month at the most. I am ok right now. Mom is also. We are all trying to be prepared if there is such a thing. I plan to spend as many days as I can with my Mom and Dad in the coming weeks. I will be ok but I am worried about Mom and how to explain it to JD. JD my grandson loves my dad a lot and he will miss him. JD still wants to know when our dog taco is coming home from heaven. He is just to little to understand, that Heaven is home, and you don't co e back here. If you got some prayers send them to my Mom and dad. They need all they can get. OK before I cry I better sign off. I am going to watch a movie called "shall we dance " ! |

There is one guy in there when he puts on his wig he looks like Jonny. I am ok so don't worry about me. I find it easy to talk to you guys you know. |

It rained here today and that means my brother does not work, so he took Dad to his Doctors apointment today. They have put him in the hospital again. The doctor said he did not know what more to do, that he would call more doctors in and see if they can come up with something. I am just lost I don't understand the resoning here by doctors at all. Can't they just give him something for his pain and let him go. Why must they keep on I mean he has been through hell and back. Oh God the hell my Mom is going through. She so blasted stuborned she doesn't want any of us kids at the hospital. If Dad passed on I can just see her driving home. If any of us show up Mom will be mad. What does a person do. Just sit here and cry, nothing more to do. OK I am not handling this. Have you ever seen that movie wit Sally Fields in it where her daughter died and at the funeral she said she was mad and just wanted to hit something.I want to tear the whole damn house apart ! |

She probably needs you more than she realizes and when she sees your face there, she'll hug your neck like never before. Go, Elaine - you'll be sorry if you didn't go and should have been there. I doubt your mom would cause a scene and have you thrown out for wanting to visit your dad. Sometimes we moms don't know what's best for us and, we daughters sometimes try too hard to obey Mom's orders and miss the hints that there are times we shouldn't. We had a private funeral and some of them have never forgiven me. Too bad but I was absolutely right. My neighbors would have made it hell for me because a few of them think epilepsy is some kind or retardation. Screw 'em. Still.... it would seem that family and very close friends should have some kind of access. She needs that kind of backup. Keep at them Elaine. You know how to deal with people if anyone does. Title: Re: I got bad news today! Post by LadyElaine on Feb 15th, 2005, 2:58pm Last night arond 11 pm I went to the hospital. Mom and Dad were both asleep in his bed ;-)! Mom likes to sleep with him so she can feel if he trys to get up. He is bad about that. I looked in on them then sat in the waiting room. About 12:45 I heard Mom talking to a nurse and steped out and went and got her a coke and she and I talked a few minutes. Dad was asleep I could not tell a whole lot about how he was. What keeps happening is his lung fills up with fluid and they keep having to drain it . I got hme about 3 I think I don't know really I just fell in bed. I dson't even remember the drive home. I slept late and I am ok. I am all cried out now. I just needed to cry and vent a little. Thanks for letting me and all your emails phone calls and post and vibes and prayers. Some times just typing , talking makes a person feel better you know. Thanks for listening. If any thing changes I will let ya'll know. |
