Title: More Good News Post by PrettyH8Machine on Feb 10th, 2005, 7:31pm I went to the Doc today and got some good news. For over a year now, something has been causing my testosterone level to drop dangerously low. My tests have been coming back bewteen 67-74 count, when the normal is between 350-400 count. This can lead to very serious problems including pituitary or prostate cancer. Every month I get checked and it has stayed low. It came up a bit in December and I was weaned off of HRT. My test results from last month came back and, my count is up to 400!!! He ordered a full leg x-ray to try and find what is causing it to give out and causing the pain in it. It is possible it could be a bone infarction in the foot that could be sending pain up through the leg bone, but they aren't sure yet. Right now though I am walking fine though, and even started working out again monday (and I be sore.) When I told him I was on my 9th day cluster free. When he asked what I have done differently that may have caused this, I just told him "I can't say for now. I'll bring in the info on the alternative treatment next month." I told him I didn't want to jump the gun just yet, but I will bring him some documentation on it (So he doesn't think I am just making it up) and told him it is something that Harvard U is getting ready to do a study on. I tried to get some stuff printed up before my visit today, but I have no printer and didn't have time to do it at my brothers house. I figured it would be wise to be able to provide him with the proper information before telling him of this experiment. What is great though is I am off hormone replacement therapy! That in itself is a miracle because, with most men, when you start doing testosterone replacement, it fakes out the body as if to say "Okay, we have enough" and so the body stops producing it on its own.
