Title: DavConers, Lady Luv Need Your Assistant Post by LadyLuv on Feb 10th, 2005, 12:27pm ;;D Hey There... I hope you're each haveing a Blessed and Headache free day. As for me, it' really been rough the last couple of weeks, I just can't seem to get through a 24hour period with a headache, but I'm hanging in there.. I might give out, but I'll never give up... So much for the pain story... now on the favor that I need from each of you... I along with a friend is in the process of putting together a cook book as a fun raiser for the local Humane Society and I am asking each of you if you would take the time out of your busy day to send me a favorite recipe or two? You can send them by email, or snail mail.. It would be greatly appreciated, and I promise not to come back later and ask your to purchase a book. :-* Peace & Blessings LadyLuv |

Title: Re: DavConers, Lady Luv Need Your Assistant Post by PrettyH8Machine on Feb 10th, 2005, 7:14pm This is my all time favorite! Fruitcake Recipe 1 cup water 1 cup sugar 4 large eggs 2 cups dried fruit 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup brown sugar lemon juice nuts 1 gallon whiskey Sample the whiskey to check for quality. Take a large bowl. Check the whiskey again to be sure it is of the highest quality. Pour one level cup and drink. Repeat. Turn on the electric mixer. Beat 1 cup butter in a large, fluffy bowl. Add 1 teaspoon sugar and beat again. Make sure the whiskey is still OK. Cry another tup. Turn off mixer. Break 2 eggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit. Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers, pry it loose with a drewscriver. Sample the whiskey to check for tonsisticity. Next, sift 2 cups of salt. Or something. Who cares? Check the whiskey. Now sift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table spoon. Of sugar or something. Whatever you can find. Grease the oven. Turn the cake tin to 350 degrees. Don't forget to beat off the turner. Throw the bowl out of the window. Check the whiskey again. Go to bed. Who the heck likes fruitcake anyway? [smiley=smug.gif] |

Title: Re: DavConers, Lady Luv Need Your Assistant Post by ghost62 on Feb 10th, 2005, 7:16pm Here is a chicken recipe that also includes the use of popcorn as a stuffing - imagine that! When I found this recipe, I thought it was perfect for people, like me, who just are not sure how to tell when poultry is thoroughly cooked, but not dried out. Give this a try. BAKED STUFFED CHICKEN 6-7 lb. chicken 1 cup melted butter 1 cup stuffing (Pepperidge Farm is good.) 1 cup uncooked popcorn (ORVILLE REDENBACHERS LOW FAT) Salt/pepper to taste Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush chicken well with melted butter, Sprinkle with salt, and pepper. Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn. Place in baking pan with the neck end toward the back of the oven. Listen for the popping sounds. When the chicken's ass blows the oven door open and the chicken flies across the room, it is done. And you thought I couldn't cook! |
