Title: Ouch Bod, please help
Post by Jayne on Feb 7th, 2005, 5:00pm
I tried to post a message over on the ouch board, but it won't let me for some reason.

Dawna Kinne, the comedian who performed at the convention, is asking for a reference on Ouch letter head. A little something about how funny she was and if you would recommend her for other conventions etc,, and the fact that she made some of her material personal to us. ( I did request this letter right after the convention)
Is there any way she could get one of these letters, considering she gave her time to us. I am also begging that she get a couple of T. Shirts X Large. ( I requested this too after the convention)

If someone can contact me about this I would be very grateful.

Thank you
Jayne

I just posted it over there for you, my friend.

Consider it a payment towards the mushy peas. ;)

Speaking as a member of the BoD and one who was in Nashville and heard her routine...I cannot see one reason why not.  I don't have access to the OUCH letterhead but I will do what I can.

Should we refer to her sneezing routine or just leave that out????      [smiley=crackup.gif]

LOL no Linda, I don't think we need to go into detail about her jokes, just that she made it personal for all of us etc. Does anyone have Ouch Letter head, and who is in charge of the T shirts?? Do we have any left over from the Convention.
I would like to give her a little something back ya know.

As long as I am in compliance with everyone on the BoD and the officers I will gladly take this on as I posted over on the OUCH board to the officers and BoD members.  (leaving out the sneezing routine of course.)

Linda

P.S. Jayne I believe Blue-Meannie is in charge of what's left in the way of T-shirts and I also(do not quote me)  All that is left are XXX-large.   If you want I can contact him.

Hi Jayne,

I have the shirts and have no problem sending them if I get authorization from the BOD first. There are various sizes.

I don't want to open a can of worms here, but I will say the store is shut down temporarily for anyone else wanting items at this time. I believe new items are being discussed for purchase and the store will reopen in the near future.

I am very grateful and impressed at the response I have had on this matter.

Thank all for being prompt about this.

Go Ouch!!!

Bob,

I think I speak for the BoD on this one...

Send the shirts.  Any BoD who disagree, PM me...although I do not anticipate anyone doing so.

:)

I think it is great all the involvement and speed shown here!  Just wanted to acknowledge along with Jayne's post what a good thing seems to have shown itself here!  It is very different from the way pasts posts have gone, and I love it! :)

Great job and thanks for the hard work! :)

It sure does seem that OUCH is back up and hitting the ground running.

Very nice to see indeed.

If the day comes when you are determined to be out of compliance because you endorsed a performer at an OUCH Con that everybody thought was funny, then I'm hanging up my O2 mask.

She was OUCH approved funny. Witness.  And so was that fat, sweaty sucker in the Superman suit.

I just love a good joke, don't you?
