For those of you who are not familiar with the name Rodin, he is also the sculptor who made "the Thinker".  I believe he is one of the most gifted as his sculptures seem to evoke emotion like no other.

:)

My folkes own a lamp with a similar couple on the top... It took me years to notice it.  ;;D It's still there, in the living room.

Sorry Langa, I don't understand why you put the rolling eyes smiley on your post?  I was just sharing a piece of art by one of my favorite artists.  Didn't mean to offend anyone...

Langa, thank you for explaining.  Sometimes I just hate the net because it's hard to get how we feel across on this sort of medium! :)mel

Auguste Rodin was a fantastic artist.....one of my favorites.
We actually have a print " Cambodian Dancer in Yellow"
hanging over our bed...Love it!

My parents had "the kiss" in the apartment....
When I was really young I used to get giddy because of her breasts  [smiley=laugh.gif]

LMAO E! [smiley=laugh.gif]

I think what really gets to me, is their body language.  Just imagining holding my loved one the same as they are holding each other, well it just makes me love him all the more. :)

Yes!  I don't see it as just a lustful kind either, but also a more deeper, intertwining, 2 becoming 1 type of kind...  If that makes any sense. :-/

:)

edited to add that you can tell they are very much in love with each other ;;D

Not to me, but I have no appreciation for this stuff. Still looks  like porn to me..........but then again......
if I can do it, it ain't art.

It sure does...Passion is so much more than Lust...it's what you said and more...Passion is all consuming...I love the way they hang on to each other, taking each other in...it's looks like they're just kissing, but their spirits are one and there's a lot more going within that kiss than we see...

Great artist, indeed.
