Ok, well, I get up at 9:00 a.m. yesterday to get ready to work at 10:00, I jump in the shower and no water!! I call my apartment manager and she tells me that the whole town is out of water and that they don't know when it will be back on.

Ok, I go to work and I feel gross all day b/c I had no shower.

I get home, water is on (Thank God) and I take a nice, long shower. I get out, ready to watch some TV, and the damn cable company shut off my free cable that I've had since October of 2003. Damn them! And I called them today (seeing as how I know that I'm going to start paying for it) and they can't install it until the 17th of February, 12 DAYS FROM TODAY!!!!!!

I have no idea what I'm going to do for 12 days. I'm going to die without cable!!

We've been without EVERYTHING imaginable at one time or the other out here in the boonies livein in a 200 year old house. Our water well turned to brine when we moved in and ate all the plumbing includeing the hot water furnace. Ruin'd the pump.....everything ! The faucets salted up and fell off it was so bad. Then the septic backed up and broke in in several places......we didn't know what to do !!! Just borrowed money to buy the house and move'd in....wasn't in a situation to borrow ten times more to pay to have things fixed !So....we went without alot for a long time tryin to fix stuff on our own. Put in a woodburner for heat....and had a creek next to the house for water......and as far as the tv was concern'd.....bein surrounded by steep hills on all sides......we got ONLY two REAL fuzzy local stations and all they had on on weekends was basketball....no antenna would help and needed a 40 foot one they told us to recieve anything !! You think your goin to go nuts without cable......try all that on for size !! Oh and did I mention I had a baby that threw fits for 6 hours at a time. Only thing she would do is eat....she hated goin outside or anything else. Sum sort of NO appitite control disorder they told me and even the doc said he felt sorry for me !!!! One foot in hell Pam

You'll be ok.....you'll jus appriciate that cable when ya get it more !! I LOVE mine....and everything else 'that works' !!!

Jonny, where is that picture taken from? That is beautiful. And if anybody sees my boyfriend, tell him that is where I want to go for Valentine's Day ;) ;)
