Title: So What'cha Listening to THIS Week?
Post by PrettyH8Machine on Feb 3rd, 2005, 9:46pm
I really dug last weeks thread and I mean like music, man - wow. It's a beautiful thing!  ;;D

Thanks Pegase for turning me onto UNKLE. Been listening to a compilation.

Kasabian - a UK band that is very trippy sounding ala Filter meets Killers, Chemical Brothers...The disc isn't out until March, but I got it off of DC++ (since the Bearshare downloads were blank and bogus.) Two big thumbs up on this one.

Scissor Sisters - 1st
Muse - Absolution
Orgy - Vapor Transmission
Videodrome - 1st
NIN - The Downward Spiral

Listening to a Smashing Pumpkims various disc right now. Before that was the Kasabian disc again. Good stuff I'm telling ya.

Peace,
CD

The one playing now, if you can find it. "Reason Is Treason" by Kasabian. The other two by them I recommend are "Club Foot" and "LSF (Lost Souls Forever)"
I am liking this disc more and more.Hope you dig it too.

Man, clusterheads have a pretty broad taste in music. Glad to see it isn't just me. Common trait maybe?
;)

I'd be dead without music.

Again, what is up with Finns and country music??? The first time my wife saw a western saddle (other than on Dallas) was when she came here to New Mexico, yet she loves country...

Coincidentally, my playlist today is Finnish artists:

Mikko Alatalo
Apulanta
22-Pistepirkko
Miljoonasade
Bogart Co.
Dingo
Apocalyptica
Nylon Beat
Eppupopedanormaali
Aikakone
Fintelligens
Hurriganes
Juhamatti
Kirka
Kolmas Nainen
Eppu Normaali
Arja Koriseva
Leevi and the Leavings
Movetron
Markku Aro
Raptori

I suppose turnabout is fairplay. I doubt I had heard a word of Finnish (aside from "sauna" of course, the only Finnish word adopted into English) before I went there was I was 19.

PS: The first thing I learned to say in Finnish (after "yes" and "no" ) was:

On vaikeaa olla nöyrä, mahdottoman hyvä! ;)

That explains a lot about me, doesn't it, Sandie?

So...does that mean:
A) How 'bout a slap and a tickle?
or
B) Pass the smoked meat, I'm hungry?

;;D ;)

Hmmm. Oddly enough, BOTH of those could be applicable, depending on the mood. ;;)

lol Mel, I think he is portraying a fallen angel rather than the flying kind.   If you heard him,  (I don't think you would like it but) you would know that picture is pure Danzig.

Here is one for the newbie Frank_W, an old friend

http://www.gamicon.com/music/FrouFrouLetGo.mp3

Drink up baby down
Hmm, are you in or are you out
Leave your things behind
'Cos it's all going off without you

Excuse me too busy
Writing your tragedy
These mishaps you bubble-wrap
When you've no idea what you're like

So let go, So let go jump in
Oh well what you waiting for
It's alright
'Cos there's beauty in the breakdown

So let go-let it go just get in
Oh it's so amazing here
It's alright
'Cos there's beauty in the breakdown

It gains the more it gives
And it rises with the fall
So hand me that remote
Can't you see that all that stuff's a sideshow

Such boundless pleasure
We've no time for later now
You can't await your own arrival
You've twenty seconds to comply

So let go, So let go jump in
Oh well what you waiting for
It's alright
'Cos there's beauty in the breakdown

So let go-let it go just get in
Oh it's so amazing here
It's alright
'Cos there's beauty in the breakdown

So let go, So let go jump in
Oh well what you waiting for
It's alright
'Cos there's beauty in the breakdown

So let go-let it go just get in
Oh it's so amazing here
It's alright
'Cos there's beauty in the breakdown

Breakdown

'Cos there's beauty in the breakdown

So let it go

Oh it's so amazing here

'Cos there's beauty in the breakdown
