Well, I think I've said in my other posts that I'm currently in my psychiatry clinical. So far, I worked this past weekend both days from 7am to 7pm. I worked in a women's setting, a pediatric setting, and a geriatric setting. I don't like psychiatry, but pediatrics is definitely my favorite. The stories there are still --> :o

But anyhow...I spent Sunday afternoon working in geriatrics. I was asked to get vital signs on a few of the patients who were sitting in our open living room. I was talking to this one gentleman, and he asked my name. I told him it was "Carrie."

His response was, "Oh...Carrie? I can't call you that. It reminds me too much of tele...tele...."

Me: "Stephen King's Book?"

Him: "Yeah that's it."

Me: " Ohhhh ok. Well why don't you call me Liz. A lot of people call me by that. It's my middle name."

He was okay with that!! I knew there was a reason I kept those two names in use! bwahaha ;)

BruceD, if you are still around and reading this, make sure you pass this story on to your wife! She'll laugh for sure :)

LMAO you two!! Broomie, that book cover is hilarious!! When I read the book for some reason, I think the cover was different!! My best friend and I chose to read that book in junior high for a book report...she refused to ever read Stephen King again after that!!!

Cybil would have been a good choice hehehe. :)

In actuality, my mother named me after the baby Carrie on Little House on the Prairie. My dad wanted to name me Elizabeth, but that is my cousin's name...and she is just over a year older than me! My grandfather wanted to name me Melody, which would have fit well with the fact that I went to college for music. Then I think my dad's other choice was Kate.

If I'd have been a boy, I would have gotten my brother's name..Michael. If he was a girl, he would have been named Shelley!! Woohoo!! ;) When he was a kid, I used to put him in a dress and call h im Shelley. ROFL. :)
