Our dear friend, Cathi, is getting some shit thrown her way.  As you all know, Cathi is NOT a ch'er, but is one of the best supporters to us whackos here on ch.com.

Cathi, regardless of how much I bitch and yell at you, know that I am sending some special prayers and vibes to you, your Mom, and Grandmother.  You have all my numbers if you need to talk again.

Thank you, gang. It's kinda scary, but I think we are on our way to better days...for now.
Mom has non-Hodgkin's. A part of her colon was removed several weeks ago, biopsied.and they have found her lymph nodes are still involved. We cant fight yet, she is much too weak. We put her in a nursing home last week to build her strength.she didnt do well at all, ended up back in Hosp...I took her home  yesterday, and we will have visiting nurses. I dont know what the future has in store for her.'cept she's gonna get sick of MEEE!
My grandmother, at 99, has developed pneumonia. She gets a visit from me daily as well.along with tea and a reminder to rest and dring a lot of fluids.....not easy for a woman her age to be so ill.
Work is on the back burner....and , I gotta tell ya, it's much easier being the supporter, rather than the supportee.
Thank you for the vibes and prayers and well-wishes...they are greatly appreciated......
And, Chuck, thank you for listening to me when I just needed to spill my heart.

Hey! I wanted all to know.. Mom went to the Dr today. She is healing well, and though she is very weak, the surgeon is pleased with her progress. Mon we meet with an Oncologist to do some strategic planning. Tonight, she has 'dismissed me", I am going to dinner with my husband, then I am gonna sleep!

LOL...Linda... no guilt.and no dismay over being dismissed....she is home and resting. I had a drink, came home...and , party animal I am, promptly fell asleep in my chair. Most relaxed I have been since this started.
