Breakneck speed through
This moonlit canyon
Giddy and high above the raging river
Laughing and laughing and laughing

Stomp the accelerator
Cut and slide through impossible turns
Slam through gears
Engine's screaming, whining protest and
Shriek of scorching tires

Faster! Faster!
Rock wall and guardrail
Fill my vision for a split-second
A still-life painted by psychopaths
Thunder searing heat red white yellow black
Laughing and laughing and laughing

They cut my body out of the wreckage the next day.
Fascinated, I hovered close,
Wavering gently in the hot wind.

That ending took the "joy" right out of that ride. Someone should use this in a teen driving pamphlet ...it might get the point across. Thanks, Frank.

Sorry.... When I was younger, having failed at three suicide attempts, I then lived the next decade with a full-on death wish.

And now.... What the hell... Might as well stick around. At least it hasn't been boring.
