I must say, I was quite distressed when I couldn't find the general board this morning - took a bit of looking for it.

Thanks! It leaves the main business of the board at the top, and moves the chit-chat to lower down. I think it's important that the newbies coming here find the info and support they need first - before they get caught up in the general patter. It might also help decrease some of the alienation some of them feel. Not that everyone here isn't a good and supportive clusterhead, but this can be a scary place for a newbie.

All in all - a good move!
