I've been here for 9 months WOW.....no longer a newbie and I have made tons of friends and made a wonderful family...........

Who Started the term "Vibes" ?

or

Where does it stem from? other than good vibrations.

Vibes were born in the 60's. You were born in the 70's.  John Lennon died in the 80's. No matter when, it's always cost me 20's.

I was always told it was the sound being emitted from a device in someones suitcase at a previous convention....

[Vibes are just that.  Good Vibrations or Vibes are the positive energy that comes from thinking positive thoughts and then directed in a particular direction.  There are bad vibes, too, but we don't do them here.]

Vibes was originated by someone who wished to send something other than prayers.

Also. Insert two "D" baterries and voila! Instant vibes!

We use the term Vibes for those uncomfortable with the word PRAYER...  Vibes, thoughts, prayers are all the same to me... So to you ATHEISTS when I say Vibes to you  I AM PRAYIN HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Other than my fraternity "message board" this is the only one I have ever belonged to and have ever heard that offered to people......thought kinda cool but wasn't sure if it was a "CH" thing or what....

Did some guru bring that or did it just replace like some say prayers......
