Took a buddy of mine out and let his Jeep play where Jeeps are supposed to play. Covered with glory!! [smiley=laugh.gif]
By the time we got through the mild trail, he was grinning from ear to ear. (and his Jeep was happy, too!)

That Jeep looks an awful lot like yours. Your Jeep has more toys attached on the front, doesn't it?

Still tryin to convince my mom to let her Jeep out. maybe we'll still have lots of snow and mud in Feb when she comes to visit.:)

Looks alot cleaner than my jeep when I get out the holler. With this snow, I am currently running chains on the front wheels. After this comming weekend storm that is suppose to be so big, I may be running chains on all 4 wheels.
Must be a huge difference in the areas we live in. Here, we have 4wd cause we like to drive to the highway. Beats walking to the asphalt roads (which is what we all use to do).
I have 1 1/2 jeeps. Great buggys for short winter trips. I tore the first one to pieces just getting to work. Between the mud, ice, salt, and rough roads, it only lasted 25 years. My current "emergency jeep" has been repaired over and over again.
We dont have 4wd for toys, we have them for transportation. Wanna play???? Bring me some groceries.

I just looked at Jeepgun's profile. Tennessee????? Less than 20 miles North of Tennessee on Interstate 75, near Livingston, Kentucky, is a National off road recreational vehicle area that I use to dirtbike in from time to time. They have some serious jeep jamboree weekends there. I have seen burned out hulks of 4wd's that folks use to play with. I had friends from Cincinnati, Ohio telling me that was the "Off Road Mecca" of the East. After taking a trip to West Virginia, they quickly changed their minds.

LOL! Let's get together and do some off-roadin' then, when it warms up! :) I'm a member of Rocket City Rock Crawlers, in Huntsville, AL, but that's a hell of a long ways to drive, just to go play. I've been to Tellico, and it RULES!! I've also gone to another place on the other side of Jasper, TN that's really nice.

Off roading???? I guess ya could say I live "off road". At one time, I actually thought tearing up machines was kinda fun. As I got older, the body didnt heal too quick, and I have slowed down alot. My last "off road" adventure found me running my CR500R on the highway trying to get home before dark, and I lost compression. Its been sitting for a few years. I might repair it, but everytime I take it out, I end up getting hurt. My Jeeps are in various stages of dis-repair. One is actually street legal, but the frame has been welded on so much I think its the last winter for that buggy. The Tub is mostly bondo. I built a frame with 5" C channel, and am shopping around for a body to put on it. I set myself up with a brand spanking new AMC 304 engine a few years ago---and it sits. Never rolled it over. The originial 304 had well over 200,000 miles before it got retired. It still ran off 5 cylinders when I pulled it. The new engine is as stock as I could keep it. That first one was one really great engine.
Here is a link to some really great "off road" trails. I use to run that part of the state---before they made rules. I have heard that "rules" are being applied to the Livingston, Ky. park also. Rules suck. I have found that serious off roading takes time, and portable welding machines.
