Title: 1010101
Post by Jeepgun on Jan 19th, 2005, 9:53am
I wrote this after feeling a profound sense of unease all day. (look at the date, at the end) It's very out of character for the other things I write, and I was a little freaked out by it. The next morning, I found out why.

Incredible Frank....

Thanks, Bethany. As I was writing this, it's like a "door" was opening on a vision that kept growing more terrifying. I finally figured out a way to shut both the poem and the vision down. Usually, writing something out is a catharsis of sorts, but after writing this one, the malaise continued to eat away at me... The events of the next morning were horrifying, but I wasn't as surprised as I could have been...

Curse or blessing, I don't know...

I dreamed twice of the Tsunami, about a month before it happened, but didn't make the connection until a couple of days ago.  :-/

Life is strange...

WOW!  How long have you known that you could "tune in " to the energy around you? If you don't mind me asking.

Most of my life, Maureen. Fairly often, I catch a little glimpse of things... It always scares me.  :-/

A month before the tsunami, I had two dreams:

In the first one, I was standing on the beach at night, on Maui. I was trying to get to Hawaii for a (interestingly enough) a cluster headache party/awards ceremony. I borrowed a windsurfing setup from a guy, and began making my way across the water. There were impossibly HUGE waves, but the board I had seemed to cut right through them. The silhouette of Hawaii was looming out of the water, and I came ashore where some people had pulled a portable bar onto the beach. It was lit up and music was playing, and people were dancing. I pulled a piece of paper from my pocket and asked directions, when the dream ended.

The next dream was more frightening. I pushed a rowboat off of the sand, and began rowing out to sea. I turned around to look where I was going, and there were waves that were towering overhead.... SO massive!! And there were a couple of ships, too. The waves and the ships were so big, and the water was so full of small boats and debris, (tile rooftops, wooden beams, and various flotsam and jetsam)  that I got scared and awoke.

Thanks for letting me know. I'm sorry it scares you, have you ever looked into seeking out others like yourself, just a thought.  I do alot of studying, workshops etc. about this type of stuff, it might help you. I have a close friend who like yourself could see alot of the worlds natural disasters whenever she would meditate and like yourself she would write what see "saw" she took some classes to try to understand what she was seeing, happening it has helped her alot. And she isn't scared by it anymore.
If you don't mind I would love to know more about your experiences or if I can answer some questions for you. not trying to be nosy, I have met other people like yourself and just thought maybe I could help.
All the best, Maureen

Thanks, Charlie.

John, I have never advocated a lack of reason or logical deduction. James Randi chooses to be a skeptic, and in this day and age, that's certainly laudable. I have experienced many things that do not lend themselves easily to scientific scrutiny, nor are those things parlor tricks to be performed like a trained monkey for those who are given to ridicule. I'm not asking anyone to believe anything. I don't really have anything to prove, either. I can only vouch for what I have experienced.

That's cool Frank, I am not trying to insult you or your beliefs.   But I disagree, and it's important in a public forum to speak up on this particular issue, way to many people are taken for a ride because they believe without thinking.  Randi does more than have a skeptical opinion, he put a million dollars where his mouth is and no one has been able to take it yet.

Frank,  I love your poetry/spoken words...
I'd like to use some of them for my music, as I don't write lyrics....
Great Stuff!!!

Rex...

You and I have something in common here.

I can write music in my sleep but all of my lyrics come out sounding like a drunken Dr. Suess.

John, I don't know what you're disagreeing with. Would you mind enlightening me on that?

I reiterate: I'm not asking anyone to believe anything. I related a few personal incidents that have been rather uncanny. I've drawn my own conclusions from my own experience.

Are you trying to convince me that my opinion and point of view of my own experiences is somehow wrong, and that I should abandon that in favor of someone else's point of view?

Rex, drop me a PM if you'd like to use a piece that I've written.

Say what you want now, but you were asking people to believe it...

or you are willing to lead people to believe it as in the Inauguration Day thread,

Quote:
All is well Renee

So it's more than you and your opinion that is involved since this is a public forum.

In answer to your question, I disagree that you or anyone else has the ability to know what the future holds outside of intelligently predicting the future based on current and past events.

I love Randi.

What he did was put up a cool mil prize for any so-called psychic to tell him what was hidden somewhere; if I remember. It must be 20 years or more and not one of these larcenous creeps have come close. It's been forever though and the details may have changed.

He did the same thing with a faith healer who was using an earphone to keep ahead of the audiences at his con games. W. V. Grant, I think it was.

At least that wildeyed Fank isn't asking for a donation...yet..... 8) :o

A fun post kids but keep things in perspective Maureen.
You'll find that these psychics who saw the WTC disaster and countless other phenomena always wait until after the fact to make announcements.  It's an interesting study though so long as you don't overdo it.

Thanks, John. No problem...

Charlie, I agree: There are a lot of charlatans, and I don't claim to be psychic. I have had some premonitory dreams, but I'm not smart enough to make the connections until after the event. Sometimes, long after. I don't know why that is. Maybe Cassandra knows.  ;;D

Ah not true, she told me some of the things she saw before they happened as a way to validate if they did truly happen, like you I was a and still am very much a "need to see it to believe it person" I just was lucky enough to see it. We all have different views that's what makes us who we are. I don't expect anyone to believe what I believe or what anyone else believes and am glad people are skeptical or everyone would be scammed. I was shown proof and it was good enough for me. Last month on national t.v. Sylvia Browne told people to stay away from India and surrounding area at Xmas time unless they wanted to die. How she new I don't know but I did see that show.
