Title: and the doctor said...
Post by the_old_man on Jan 17th, 2005, 6:56pm
Saw the doctor today to determine the cause of the exploding eyeball last Tuesday.  While she could not say with any certainty what it was, she was able to rule out tia or stroke.  She said in all likelyhood it was either CH related or sinus/ear infection.  Because I have not had a CH since this happened, she felt it was CH related.  We're going to keep an eye out to see if it happens again.

As far as the heart problems are concerned...we know the beat is irregular but have been unable to determine why as yet.  I'm going through more tests which is a bitch since I have no health insurance.  And the beat goes on.

The good news is that it appears that the cycle is finally over.  I can sleep again and won't have to fight the beast without meds any more.

Here's to PFDAN for all.

Well bud, I am glad it was not a stroke or TIA, I am sorry that it was CH related. Hate it for you. I understand the insurence deal I am in the same boat. Glad to hear your pain free and hope you stay that way.

So it appears to have been Horner's syndrome....
Glad it was nothing major.
Wishing you pain free days no worries!

hey medic...don't feel bad for me that it's ch related.  I've fought the beast for 27 years...the last 3 cycles without meds.  This last cycle was the longest ever.  I'm just glad it appears to be over.  If it takes an exploding eyeball to end the cycle, I'll take it.  Thanks for caring.

and E-Double...I appreciate your good wishes.  It feels good to feel good.

PF everyone.

You guys are all just lining up to wish me well and you don't even know me.  This is a great place to be for help and support and I'm going to recommend it to all my friends who have CH...oh yeah...I don't personally know anyone else who has ch.  That's what brought me here in the first place.  Then I guess unfortunately this will remain one of the best kept secrets on the net.

G'day old mate, and while you might be unknown at least you're not alone, which is why this place is so important to me, too.

Just reading your post reminded me of a really strange cycle I had a few years ago.  Bang on the clock (6am & 7pm), stiff neck, droopy eyelid, one pupil wildly dilated, eye and nose running like Niagara, but no pain!

Never gave the Beast credit for a sense of humour but you've gotta wonder.

Good to hear you're on the mend,

AussieBrian.
