What good purpose does this serve?

This is the Internet. Take nothing personally.

If you're angry, take a few minutes to calm down and collect yourself, and then post in a coherent manner.

Charlie has been a fantastic help to a great many people, here, (including myself) so why not give him (and other people) the benefit of the doubt, and if something offends you, see if there's some humor or tongue-in-cheek wit to it, or just let it slide on by.

If you find that you simply MUST take issue with someone, what's wrong with sending them a PM? There's been more than enough divisiveness and drama on this board, over the past week.

Please: For the sake of us all, give it a rest.

Let's calm down...I think for one thing...the Charlie part is wrong. I have a PM (check your PMs hun...up on the top, right) in to snook to find out why she's feeling so bad. Let's not respond to this until we know what's up.

Nani, you really can't prevent people from responding to a post. Snook took it upon herself to make the post, and her words are her responsibility. If somethings wrong, she needs to work it out herself with whomever she is upset with. You can't always "keep the peace", especially on an internet message board with such colorful people as CH'ers.

After talking with him for over six hours in Nash...

You're so right Mel. We all need to take a second to be sure we have our facts right before we hit the send button. Once it's out there - it's pretty much fair game.

Sounds like Snook was having a bad day but no reason to go off on somebody as fine as Charlie is.

The reason I intervened here at all is that if you look at the original posts, you will see that she's NOT quoting CHARLIE! That's why I wanted us to let this die. No one here could possibly have anything bad to say about Charlie and he was not the one who said what she was upset about. It's possible to make mistakes when you're distraught and I think that's what she did.

Whether it's the person who makes a mistake or the one who is the victim of one. You can think what you want about what I do don, but dammit it's what I do. In all honesty, yes mistakes happen however along the lines of what Carol send we should all breathe and get the facts before we hit send...I hope snook, you come back and apologize to Charlie for your mistake....

I wasn't going to post on this but I think we all should step back and take a logical look at this. OBVIOUSLY, there is something more going on here regarding Snooks post. When someone is that distraught, there is a reason. I am concerned for Snooks. And knowing Charlie, I do not think he will be upset or angry about a mistake. In fact, he will probably be just as concerned about someone, who is obviously sitting precariously on the edge.

Vibes to Snooks. I hope whatever is wrong resolves itself soon.

Don't worry about Charlie...he has been here a loooong time and can fight his own battles. He IS a clusterhead, after all!
