Just wanted to say i've been PF most of the time i've been here since i missed this years cycle. I know Chronics can't imagine how anyone can forget the REAL pain, but somehow our brains forget. So between my sarcastic comments (that's just me), and forgetting the REAL pain, I apologize. I hope every one of you get your chance to forget the nightmare too.

Pain free here 8) Usually I'm in the battle this time of year. Trying an alternative therapy this time.. [smiley=thumbsup.gif] Working so far and I haven't missed a winter cluster in so many years. 2 month past due WWWWOOOWWWOOO. and counting.

Pain free and living in dread, here. Anytime between now and the second week of February... Occasional shadows and those annoying, infrequent "twinges" that don't amount to anything. Otherwise, "all quiet on the western front."

Definitely the pain AB. Still get fearful about them coming back but then I focus on the memory of the worst one from the last cycle and then I know I'd rather be out of cycle and just have the worry.

18 months PF currently :)

I am pain free for now, have been for two years now. My cycles are every four years.
The last cycle lasted a little over seven months.
There are no such thing as mild hits for me.
The unreal part of ch is how I really do forget how bad they hurt. Every new cycle is just like the first one I had, I just think to myself WTF. Plain and simple, CH sucks.

This is so true......and all of it is heartbreaking     :'(

I cannot count the many nights I refused to go to sleep, afraid of the pain.    But no matter how long I stayed up....that bastard came for me!

I just started a Pred taper....the CH seemed to be getting worse.   Even with the Melatonin...which has worked very well for me most of the time, the CH still is relentless.   The last few weeks have been hell.  

Day 3 of the taper.....no CH.

Not exactly pain free... but remarkably fewer than usual and so far nothing over a Kip 6 this cycle.

Weird, but appreciated... :-/ ;;D

6 months to the next cycle, hopefully it continues...

What's PF?

I'm so happy for all of yous! You know, Blue, I think we do block out the memory of the pain. When I was episodic each new episode was almost like a surprise. Never had predictable cycles, so I think that's at least partially why.

PF since August 2002.  I am here yelling at my tv set cause it's 12 below zero outside and the dumbfucks have not cancelled school for my daughter.  Guess they wanna get out early this year. ::)

Anyhoo, I made a New Year resolution LAST year on Jan 1, that I would be here more often for others.  I think I did pretty well for 2004.  

We now take you back to your regularly scheduled circus...

Was completely pain free since September and have only recently been having shadows in early morning hours on the right side (last cycle was on the left)....As usual, i feel a mixture of dumfounded and scared.  I don't understand my own denial process where clusters are concerned.  It's like my mind is suffering from paralysis (deer in the headlights syndrome).

PF for 2 weeks now. Holding my breath, not sure what to expect since this has been my longest episode since finding this strange malady 4 years ago. They never lasted more than 3 weeks before, but this years visit ran about 10 weeks.
I understand the denial process, this year I told my family it was just sinus HA at first (yea, right!).
I am just greatful to have found this site this year. The support here has been incredible, the info invaluable, and humor is great therapy for me (some of these folks, however, just ain't right! [smiley=laugh.gif])

For the most part I've been PF since Feb '03.

4 years since my last "true" episode. 2 years since I've had a kipp anything. 4 to 6 months overdue for my scheduled reoccurance.

Still hangin around though as a hopefully retired veteran of this affliction.

PF since september. That ended my normal short cycyle that happens every couple of years. Lucky bastard I guess.
I found this site and learned about all kinds of things I won't use again and one I will definetly try next time.
I never had a problem forgetting about the CHs until I found this damn board. Now I remind my self everytime I check it out.
If I had it to do over again I wouldn't change a thing.

Cluster-free since October...still some chronic pain from a broken neck in a car accident.

Operation is scheduled for March...hopefully then I will be pain-free.

Sorry you're still getting slammed bro. And Jean, hopefully the Prednisone will knock the beast out for you. Going into my 7th year chronic, and the melon has been out of control the last couple of weeks - which is scaring me since DavCon is one week away.

Here's to hoping more can report being PF soon.

Painfree since June of last year.....sorry for those of you who aren't. Still got 3 full e-tanks in the garage, and 8 or so Zomig inhalers stored away for the next round. It's the only area of my life where I live by the Boy Scout motto....Always be prepared.

PF here since last April. I seem to be on a weird 15 month cycle of 12 months PF, then 3 months of hell. So this is my Spring year. I'm hoping that moving house since the last cycle will trick the beast, and he'll show up at my old place instead. Dunno if anyone else lives there now, but I didn't leave the bastard a forwarding address.

Been PF for 13 years with only one or two glitches that never came even close to a hit. I'm beyond lucky when it comes to this horror. I wish the same or everyone here.

Basically PF for 6 weeks now with the exception of a couple of times when perfume triggered me.  Wishing the same for all of you.

PF???  Seems to me I have heard that term bounced around here various times.  Got my fingers crossed, my toes crossed, hell even my balls crossed that this new cocktail works!!!  It HAS cut them down to only 6 to 8 a day (except for this past week, damnit!), so that is GREAT!  The headache clinic is bound and determined that they can get them to stop!

So, maybe I WILL be able to add my name to this illustrious list!

Cycle only lasted a short time  this time thankfully. Had my first bit of alcohol 4 3 weeks on fri night, keeping large doses of P killers nearby. Shit it was a good evening not having 2 grab 4 the BLUE BOX. You guys who worry about the next hit r torturing yourselves 2 much. Yeh Yeh it,s easy 4 me 2 say that but whilst U R PF don,t dwell on it.There,s so much better stuff 2 do than sit & worry. Everybody here knows that so i,ll stop crapping on.                                                                                                   Russ
