I don't know ANY of those songs, and I've only heard of HOLE because of that crazy-ass druggie that sings for them.

This weeks faves for me:
Ray Charles Genius Loves Company
Norah Jones  Feels Like Home
Los Lonely Boys can't think of the title

'PlayList' kinda assumes you have a computer with a working sound card.  Thus you are excluded from this thread.

"Losing my erection......"

Thanks, Bob. I was in left field myself.......but after reading the first 300 entries, music was the evident topic. ALL of it after the Beatles.

Remember when a Playlist meant activities like fishing, baseball, cheap sex and curling?

This New Millennium shit is killing me,

Back in '91 when I was in a band called "Blaze" I rewrote all of the words around that same theme.
Too raunchy to list them all but the chorus was:

"That's me with a boner. That's me with my crotch-white...losing my erection...trying to keep it up for you and I don't know if I can do it... Oh no, I shot too much... I haven't shot enough..."

Also had a wonderful version of Van Halen's "Jump"

"Oh can't you see me standing here I got my back against the rubber machine, I even brought vaseline, oh can't you see what I mean.... We might as well HUMP!"

Van Halen's "Panama" chorus can be exchanged with "Panties off! She took her panties off!"

I'll spare you my version of Celine's "My Heart Will Go On."

I also do a mean version of G n R's "Patience" - as sung by Bobcat Goldthwait.  [smiley=laugh.gif]

LMAO CD, my mom would've laughed at some of those lyrics.  She had a great sense of humor (obviously sometimes raunchy humor too lol)  Your chorus to the REM song are very familiar, maybe that's the rest or close to it anyways of "mom's" version. [smiley=ohjez.gif] [smiley=crackup.gif]

When my relationship with MP3s was still fresh and new, random mode was my friend. But too many years of CD ripping and file swapping and, er, "buying" them online and a nifty hard-drive replacement operation on my Zen to give it a sterling 80G heart (I don't recommend the procedure for anyone squeamish.) has left "random" infeasable and too often painful. When you've got more than 8 weeks of music on your player, there are some combinations of artists that are just wrong, wrong, wrong. You never want to hear Giovanni Battista Bovicelli, L'Trimm and the Cramps back-to-back. So I have to make playlists. Besides, playlists appeal to that OCPD child inside of me.

This morning is a Glen Miller morning and I don't want any Seven Mary Three or Lords of Acid sneaking in.

Indeed Hirv... random is poison these days.  I keep a dozen or two playlists that I alternate between depending on the mood.

Anyone else have Sirius?  I kinda love it.  It will be wired into the sound system in my new home.

I actually have quite a few MP3's ripped from vinyl, since you can't get the recordings on CD or cassette.
You can come over anytime to look through my vinyl collection. I've still got over 100 of 'em. I even have more than a few of those nifty 78's.

And if you really have a fondness for cassettes, I've got a box of 'em that I haven't used since high school.
