I need an update on her. Last I heard, she was still having a really hard time with her back. I haven't seen her around. Whoever you are...please let us know...thanks. (and send my huggsss)

Hi everyone...Nani, Paul, Karla, thanks for your concern...Sorry I have been offline but still dealing with this back pain and hated to burden you guys with all this.. The pain is unreal! Now I have something weird going on with my pain med ...alot of you know I am on a duragesic patch for chronic chs...i have always been on the 25mcg and it has worked well except for some breakthrus but not many....anyway , with this back thing going on,the Doc bumped me up to 50 mcgs....and now I waking up with my jaws clenched and having chs again...I begged him not to do this as I DID NOT want to go up on my dose... he said he had to get me out of pain with this back stuff...Now, i am getting hit and still hurting from my back...Just because muscle rigidity (clenching muscles at nite) is not a side effect, he does not think this is what is wrong...BUTT, I KNOW IT IS! IF anyone has any experience with this, please let me know...I need some advise on how to handle this situation....Am at my wit's end and can hardly walk and getting hit everynite again. .

Oh sis...you have been dealing with this crap for far too long. :'( Is it possible that with the chronic back pain and now the CHs, your body is tensing up from all the stress on it? Are you taking any muscle relaxants? Are you getting any PT? (if you have already shared any of the above info...forgive me- my memory is like overcooked oatmeal) YOU HAVE GOT TO GET SOME RELIEF!!!
I don't know if you have yet...but consider homeopathic remedies. Arnica for muscle pain and hypericum for nerve pain.

Our sister needs prayers, vibes and IDEAS people...

Rats. So sorry to hear that this thing hasn't taken a break. The only thing I know of that worked for a nurse friend was traction now and then but of course that was only temporary.

Wish I had a magic bullet but hang in there kid.

Rats, just got out of the hospital a few weeks ago where I was put in traction....on two muscle relaxers now....Am so broke after a hospital visit, an outpatient admission and then Botox in the Doc's office, I cant afford PT....I need a cure, not a temporary fix..the temp fixes are robbing me blind and only giving me a day or so relief.....Thanks for the prayers.....You guys are the best! smiles,nancyc :)

Nancy, I'm so sorry for your (additional) pain. It dosn't seem fair when one stacks on top of another, when either would be plenty to handle.
I assume a Tenz unit is deemed innaffective for your situation?
