Title: I will build ANYTHING...LOL... Post by Jonny on Jan 6th, 2005, 7:06pm Going through some old job files today and found these from a newspaper article. Ten years ago a karate instructor walked into my shop and said "Can you build this"......he handed me a sketch on a damn napkin....LOL...My reply was....."I can build it if you can pay for it" http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v451/jonny68/KIXX.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v451/jonny68/KIXX2.jpg Under the padding on those arms is 1/4" steel that are screwed into the upright.....the first prototype we made didnt stand a chance to these pro boot swingers. They booted them right off the upright. I love a challenge!! ;;D Because the arms are adjustable they could not be welded in place......Hmmmmm, YES!.....go way large on the bolt size, add supports to the stand and make the stand so it could be screwed to the floor with huge screws......LMAO....problem solved ;;D I made money and the newspaper ;;D .......But I still think my mention in Architectural Design was better. .....................................jonny PS:......Yes, the article says "Camelot park"....I am King there also....LOL [smiley=headbanger.gif] |

Forty years building race cars/engines. Closed season on drag strip in his "box racer" (was a mud racing frame set up for the dragstrip) on an engine he built (350 Chevy) 1/8th mile, 0-114mph in 5.95 sec.Same engine has three hundred passes on it without problems. Drops clutch at 9000rpm, shifts at 8500rpm. . . .. .damn! And everything he builds is pretty pretty pretty. For those intertested in martial arts: www.dryqwong.com He was my accupunturist and herbalist prior to my major surgery . . . .I was much stronger for his help and don't begrudge a dime spent. He is third generation accupuncturist, herbalist and martial artist. Go to the above site and view the videos where he demonstrates the power of "tremor" . . .. he was 61 at the time. And Jonny, he might be interested in your device . . . ..he's got every type of martial arts tool and weapon I've ever seen . . . . and a HUGE apothecary. Sorry to ramble, Richard |
