Title: seems the preds broke the cycle Post by marieinthesprings on Jan 5th, 2005, 6:24pm I wanted to thank all of you for your support and great advice during my cycle. This was the first cycle that I used prednisone and it seem to have broke the cycle...knock on wood...been pf since Christmas eve. Sorry I have not been here to be of any support to others, but I am afraid once I start talking about the beast he will find his way back to me so I am going to keep my distance from the board and hope my next cycle is not any time soon.....God Bless everyone and I wish you all a Happy New Year with many pfdans.....Marie |

Title: Re: seems the preds broke the cycle Post by SFChris on Jan 5th, 2005, 6:48pm Marie, I also did a round of prednisone recently, and also appear to have broken my cycle - ironically I also have been pain free (with some shadows hanging around) since Christmas Eve. It appears you and I are on the same cycle. Good luck! Chris |

Title: Re: seems the preds broke the cycle Post by Rock_Lobster on Jan 5th, 2005, 10:07pm That is great news. Now... the ticket is to keep enough on-hand to at least begin the first 3-4 days of your next taper. Since the stuff is literally cheaper than popcorn, ask your doc for a script for exactly that purpose. First shadow... mouth full of pred. /waxing nostalgic for the days when a big old pred taper would suppress my episode for the year |

Don't blame you a bit. Adios. Not sure if there's a finer compliment than "Your help worked, and I'm good to go. Back in the saddle." See you next cycle, RJ |
