It's pretty well documented Pappy.  It seems to have that effect on lots of us.  I understand perfectly what you're saying but I'm sorry you're going through it.

The Tsunami?

Not a depression but a kind of sadness that such stuff is part of existence. It makes one wonder.  Life does seem stuck in its sucks mode in too many areas of our world at the moment.

Hope you are have some luck getting around it or at least seeing over the horizon.

Charlie

Hey John,

One thing to always keep in mind. When you experiance the intensity and duration of pain that we do, any depression we suffer is valid.

Treat it accordingly, whatever that is for you, like you would any other condition you experiance.

I know what you mean, my dear friend.  This past week was the tsunami, the death of my neighbor, bad news from my friend in Iraq of his buddy's death, my neighbor passed away from a stroke and my Grandmom died this afternoon.  All of this in a little over a week is quite a bit to handle but we all have to take it in, process it, learn from it and hug those who still here with us a little bit harder tonight.

I hope you are doing well, Pappy and please stay in touch!

Cyndi

Thanks for the sweet message...I needed that....it's been a rough week!   It's nice to know there are still people who take the time to send someone good wishes  Just hoping that tomorrow will be the beginning of some better news for all of us.

I believe any trauma can bring depression. God knows I go through too much of it. Lately though, I can't say I am depressed. It is more of a heart-sick feeling that I can't really explain.  :'(

Peace,

:)Thanks for all the support, Family, Don,Beth Cyndi,Cark,Charlie Jeepgun and brother Svenn! I am dealing with it, just feeling pretty lost and helpless for the hundreds of thousands affected.
Jonny, Maybe you need a close up Trauma to be affected, that cold Metal you work with seems to have seeped into your Heart if this doesn't really affect you!
But, we must never reveal our vunerabilities as real men Heh!    Each to his own then.   Brother John

No, it does not throw me into a sever depression, but it did affect me enough to crack open my wallet and do my small part.

My money is (To me) more well spent helping folks here in this family.....just ask any one of the 18 people that are getting help from 02 because I had built and shipped them a custom regulator, some Docs wont give a script for 02....thats where I come in ;;D

Sorry Pap, I should have gave more than a one word answer.

I knew it!  I knew it!! I knew it!!  Heard on the news today that Al-Jazeera is blaming the United States for somehow causing the tsunami.  "Razza-frazza, SOB, etc."  Abstract thoughts are one thing but damn!!  Maybe this will break up some of the PTSD we are all feeling.  Wonder what else we will be blamed for????
