as we pick up glasses of Kool-aid and
sparkling grape juice....

let's toast to a new start.

Most of us should have clean calendars
to fill with appointments and 'ta-do lists.'

(Well once you finish the tasks,
don't you wish you could say,
"Ta-da!"?) ;)

Last year ticked away fast on me,
like grains of sand that slip through the cracks
of your fingers, the harder I tried to hold on,
the faster they fell away....

So this year I am just gonna savour it.
Letting the hours and days float
over me and letting each moment and scene
fill my heart with laughter and joy.

I am gonna try to refrain from gripes
(like when my honey won't do the dishes
or like when the washer eats my quarters...)
and just take it all in.

Of course I have to keep my vow
and run the monster outta my head
using whatever it takes....

but

I won't let him steal another second than he has to.

and I wish you all
a fantastic new year
filled with adventures,
and discoveries.
