I even think that Ken and I are going to make it, but we won't need a hotel or a room...thanks though...

It will take us about 4 hours to get there, 4 hours to get back, and with the kids...that should be just grand...unless...they can stay...but then I have all of the animals.

I need to meet all of you in PERSON! And so does Ken, he just doesn't know it yet, or has been way too busy and stressed to realize it.

I think this will be extremely good for the both of us, and as of right now, if the weather is gracious enough to not put us in any danger driving there, we will be there!!!

Actually, it doesn't look like I'll be able to make it. I have a big project launch event on Feb. 1st that I have to plan and I really can't afford to be out of town with so much to do. I'm the point man on the project (i.e. I'm doing all the work, from web design, to advertising campaign to guest list, etc.), and I would be strung up by my gonads if I left town the weekend before.

But dammit, I'll be in Dallas if I have to hitchhike!

Sounds like something I would like to do,  and not that far away either.  Just the wrong time of year.  Theres something about a Harley and a sleeping bag that does not agree with January or Feburary.  I am sure it would be a good experience to meet other clusterheads, but with todays fuel prices, I think I would be better off using the truck for work and emergencies.  Hopefully there will be another opportunity to meet folks when the weather is warm.   Y'all have fun.

Please pardon the absence of responses or updated info. Let it suffuce to say that between the new knee and a major 'head up my butt/can't motivate off the couch' attitude from the recoup I have been non-extent.

The M&G is still a go starting Fri [1/28/05] thru Mon [1/31/05], or any portion thereof, for all that wish to attend. That is, unless I end up cutting off a hand or nailing my foot to the floor witha nail gun.... :o

Or, gawd forbid, the Beast makes his typical 13-month visit....scheduled for about 1/15 to 1/20.

I would prefer to communicate via email for any M&G particulars at NC.VA.M-G@kdlltd.com. As I am very busy trying to finish the remodel before the 28th, I am more apt to check email than posts or PM's.

Even though many or all have stated attendance/non-attendance decisions in this thread, please respond to the email addy to confirm attendance. This will assit us with a head count to ensure unlimited libations.

FYI: We have a 'personal taxi service' directly across the street. I will be passing on the drivers name and cell phone via email(s).

Hi all,

New carpet next Tue and gallons of paint to apply before that day.
Hardwood and ceramic flooring to lay, doors to hang and lights to install.

It will all be complete before the 28th!!

Computer/Internet connectivity includes hard-wire, 10/100 w/static IP and wireless 11mbps w/DHCP all covered by hardware firewall.

Taxi service [I assume 24x7 and will confirm] across the street. Lawn parking provided we don’t have mega-snow or muddy conditions.

‘Knock on wood’, the beast has stayed away. I’m hoping that the meg-doses of Mat thru Nov warped his brain so bad e forgot my address.

Kitchen and outdoor grill is open  to anyh that wish to utilize em. Bring any dish you like or we can make a store run.

Kathiy is making a central WI hot beef specialty with mushrooms, onions and cheeze that will be serverd on hoggie rolls.

I guess it's or else for me then Chuck. I broke my big toe in 3 places on Tuesday, so even if I wanted to, I couldn't. Besides, there is snow in the forecast for the weekend. So, nothing was on our side.  I'm laid up in a boot and crutches. Dr. says 6 weeks to heal - and even sitting hurts. It's amazing how a toe can cause so much pain.  :-(

I hope you guys are having a good time, and Dan and Chuck, do me a favor. If you're drinking or doing something fun, do it twice for me...and for Ken.

I wish we could have been there. Have a wonderful time though...feel free to give a ring if you'd like too!!!
