Title: I almost forgot!!!!!!!!! Post by Cerberus on Sep 11th, 2004, 11:11pm Tomorrow is GAME DAY! WOOOHOOOO! bout damn time...Anyhow, I promised predictions so here goes. Teams to look out for: Dallas...always a PITA but Parcells is god in this realm and they will be a PITA again, and again. Cincinati...Could it be? Possibly if their season goes as well as their pre-season has they are on the rise. Bears...ya I know, the CUBS of football, but hey they have looked decent so far Redskins...I wouldn't be surprised if they made the playoffs but not ready to challenge for the big one yet. Seahawks...if they are half as good as they look so far, they are going to be in the hunt. Barring injuries of course. Now for the teams everyone expects to make a legit run: Indianapolis...Peyton's "happy feet" will settle down and he will pass for more yards than anyone else, however, their young secondary will bite 'em in the ass when it counts the most...Playoffs YES maybe even deep but no superbowl this year. How the FUCK do you fumble on the goal line? Rams...overall Martz will have em ready to play, but if the offensive line doesn't get alot better in a hurry they will struggle...STILL look for em to contend. Raiders...money does not a superbowl buy...always dangerous but will still fall short. Eagles.... playoffs definately, but the big egos will get in the way. Patriots...Looking REAL GOOD, but another title this year? doubtfull. Packers...ya know, I haven't seen or heard much of anything from em...this could go either way. Broncos... As a Chiefs fan I just gotta say, NOPE! Panthers... last year was neato, now do it again...not likely. Tampa Bay...Gruden is good, damn good, but not THAT good. Dolphins...their off season has said it all. Bills... Looking decent on D but the Offense is weak even with Bledsoe...too many new kids in the recieving corps. Titans... aint heard alot from thier camp either, always dangerous...its gonna be a wait and see campaign for them. Ravens... D is always good but Jamal cant carry the team going to be another PITA as usual. As you guessed it...My personal favorite.. KC... number one offense in the NFL two years running..few changes, look for #3. The Defense let me down last season, no significant changes on field but Gunny is back home where he belongs and if the D is even 50% better this season the road to the superbowl runs through Kansas City. |

Title: Re: I almost forgot!!!!!!!!! Post by Renee on Sep 11th, 2004, 11:52pm I'll pull for the boys as they are my hometown team but I can't stand Jerry Jones. So....Matt Hasselbeck and the Seattle Seahawks as the sleeper. |

Title: Re: I almost forgot!!!!!!!!! Post by Renee on Sep 12th, 2004, 7:39am It only started with the Tom Landry incident. Then there was the Tex Schramm incident, then Jimmy Johnson, eventually Emmitt Smith and between those was his traffic stop for speeding where he offered to pay the officer off while he didn't know the camera was rolling. (cause he was running late to church) Add to all that the terrible face lift, pulling the Lombardy trophy out of Switzer's hands on national tv....i'm sure it will continue but not with Parcells. Jones doesn't get any of my money anymore and now the NHL is probably gonna have a lockout. :'( :'( |

The touchdown scored in 2 drives of his injury proves my point. Well he got injured today so... We should be doing much better in the near future. |

I With a 10-3 record, the Falcons clinch the NFC South! Final: Falcons 35 Raiders 10 #1 rushing offense in the NFL! With a defense comprised of Keith Brooking, Patrick Kerney, Rod Coleman and company and an offense featuring Michael Vick, T.J. Duckett and Alge Crumpler- to name a few, I think it's safe to say, "Yes Howie, the Falcons are for REAL!" ...........................alley ;;D |
