So today on very little sleep we were running very many errands and still had not gotten a tree, Suddenly, my 10 year son old yells, “MOM! CHIRSTMAS TREES FIVE BUCKS!”

I say , “no way! Really? Where? And my six son year old chimes in, “BACK THERE!!!” they yell at me.

So we turn around and go back to find a fabulous tree…when there’s only three trees and two are tall the fabulous one isn’t hard to spot.

“Do we have any twine?” I ask as I open the van tail gate to look. “No…” my oldest says, “but we have BUNGIE CORDS!!!! BUNGIE CORDS ROCK!!!’’

We all do a happy dance while the six year old chants Bungie, Bungie over and over. So with super human Mom strength than can only be found on Christmas Eve I hoist the tree up on the top of the van by myself in one swift move and the boys open the side doors and stand on the seats and we bungie it down.

We go in to Pay and it’s $5.25 total. I’ll splurge the extra 25 cents.

As we get in the car and pull away my oldest says, “you know what? We’ve saved money because it would have cost us more that five-twenty-five in gasoline for the chain-saw to cut one down out of the woods.”

My boys rock too.

Cool story...who says Christmas has to be so expensive? You all enjoy your tree and have a Merry Christmas!

Good deal.....and bungie's are a must for all sorts of situations that arrive to have around. I've actually been bungied on a bike before......ok......this was a "VERY" long time ago......just helped as an aid to keep me sittin straight for the ride home. Onea them true 'life's little stories' and lessons well learned. Hope everyone had a great day ! Sibera life in Ohio Pam

LOL, just saw this,

I didn't have a tree this year but my mother did, she cut one down that was in the chicken yard. She used a hand saw so total cost was zero $.

Opus/Paul
