Title: Re: The Craziest Gift Post by Jeepgun on Dec 17th, 2004, 12:58pm Have him around the house? Like this? Ahem: "Git over here, pretty boy!! Wash those dishes! Take out that trash! Vacuum that rug!! Scrub that toilet!! Fold that laundry!! And when you're done, git upstairs and mess up my bed!" [smiley=laugh.gif] 8) |

Title: Re: The Craziest Gift Post by nani on Dec 17th, 2004, 3:52pm Is it legal to ask the handyman to work in his undies? But Frank, it would be more like "Sugar, when your done with the dishes, I could use a backrub." ::) |

Title: Re: The Craziest Gift Post by echo on Dec 17th, 2004, 3:59pm We were poor -- I wanted a toy, my mom knew I had to get clothes. She gave me a pair of pants with the front pockets cut out. Solved both requests. Pair of pants and a toy to play with. Commando Echo |

Title: Re: The Craziest Gift Post by Donna_D. on Dec 17th, 2004, 11:57pm When I was a senior in High School I waited tables in a Chinese Restaurant full-time after school and weekends. One of my regular customers was a Gentleman and his wife who was, for lack of a better descriptive term, a Jewish Jewler. One night, a few days before Christmas, he called me over to his table and handed me the tray with his money and the ticket on it to pay for his meal. He then said, be sure to look under the ticket. I have given you "The Ultimate Jewish Tip." You see, he knew that the waitresses had to split tips with the hostess...I picked up the ticket, and lo and behold there was a penny...a penny that had been cut perfectly in half. Perfect for splitting ;;D Then he gave us each 20 bucks...I still have the half penny and a wonderful memory. DD |

Title: Re: The Craziest Gift Post by catlind on Dec 18th, 2004, 11:10am Hmmm craziest gift I got (at least in the minds of other people) was Christmas 98. Clark and I were getting married on the 28th, and I opened my presents from him. Lets see, I got a Jamsa C/C++ Bible and I was telling everyone what a great gift I got. Oh yeah, I also got chanel no. 5 perfume and a diamond ring. But the best gift was the programming bible :) I think I'm the only girl I know that was more excited over a programming book than diamonds and perfume. Of course there's the year my mom gave me a coffee can. Our family comes from a long line of expert shakers. So to hide the contents of the gift, she put it in a coffee can...then soldered the lid back on!! Can't remember what was in the can, but I sure do remember having to get the can opener to open my gift. Cat |
