I just thought I would jump in here and say HI to all of you. I can't believe that after 6 years of living with a CH sufferer, I have found also 'support' for the supporter.

My wife is a chronic sufferer of CH. She is having a particularly nasty ‘chronic cycle’ this time, and it just about kills me to see her suffer so and all I can do is sit and stay out of her way.

It is hard to watch her go through her attacks. And I feel helpless seeing her lying there begging for help and yet I can do nothing for her. I let her know that I’m praying for her, give her a hug (when she’s ready for one ;;D), and offer tons of encouragement.

Anyway I just thought I would say a quick HELLO to you folks and wish you well.

Uh forgot the name of my wife, her name is Zaira, a terrific wife (I know that I am truly blessed ;;D)!

Support for the supporter is always available here, friend - just IM if you need it. Mopar is chronic too.
I hope Zazi is well soon. She has captured our hearts too!

Fabio,

Nice to meet you. She knows that you are there for her. She has said as much to me so many times. You are her life line when she feels like she has no other, so you are helping, even if it does not feel like it. I cant speak for my husband, but I see the same frustration in his face, when there is nothing he can do for me. There are times when he is afraid to touch me, afraid to even speak to me and I would ove for be able to crawl into his arms and have him make it all better, but I know that he cant and dont want to hurt him more.

Stay strong for her and she will always know that your heart and soul are with her.

Zazi, my love. Be strong and know that I am here whenever you need me (as well as many many others).

OH MADONNA!! What the fuck are you doing here, husband?? ;;D ;;D :o

Like many of you who understand what a good supporter is supposed to do, Fabio (I can't live without him ;;D. Thank you, sweetheart) understands that I need to be left alone when I am having an attack, even though it pains him so much to see me suffer. :'( :'(

Folks, if you have a good supporter, be sure and let them know how much she/he is appreciated!
