My friend, John Adams, called me yesterday about an article he'd read in an "alternative" medical publication. It said that peroxide injected IV into CH patients was having a lot of success with the headaches.

Has anyone heard anything about this? And NO, Nancy, I don't think it's the same kind of peroxide you use. ;)

Seriously folks - I don't remember anything ever being posted about this, but peroxide has been used for a lot of things....

If anyone has any info on this post it....

I'm in no hurry to try this. There have been a few trials of peroxide for people with AIDS and cancer. Peroxide is part of the bodies defense against invaders. Peroxide will scorch biological molecules, and might in theory fight some types of disease. But too much peroxide will burn the bodies tissues - people take antioxidants to protect themselves from aging associated with peroxide.

This is a typical article on peroxide therapy: lots of glittering generalities but short on detail:

For me, peroxide therapy means garling with diluted hydrogen peroxide when I have a scratch on my gums that gets inflammed. Maybe the other "wonders of peroxide" will be proven someday, but I am waiting until they are.

There's something to this... hmmm... let's see. IV'ing peroxide which may turn the blood blonde. Yes, I can see it. Blonde blood would be unable to flow in excess to the brain, thus no CH! I knew having Paris Hilton on tv for so long would put an idea into someone's head.

Good thing I'm just thinking this and not sending it to the message board. I'm not as dumb as a "post"...

Yep. We used to use it to clean up the floors in the ER. I can't imagine injecting it!! :o

Sounds like someone is really grasping for straws in the dark. Blind trial and error experiments scare me. I guess anything's possible but I'm with florida, zero expectations for this probable hoax.

Ok, thanks guys about the peroxide. Never thought about it bleaching the blood Kevin, but...

NANCY - don't try it!!! I think all that peroxide on your hair has seeped into your brain as it is. ;) ;) ;) (I'm not discing Nancy folks - it's an old joke between us - don't get violent about it - I love Nancy and she knows it!)

I use peroxide to whiten bone, as in bleach skulls for that ever so primitive decor.. Hmmm I am not so sure I wanna shoot this stuff... Mac

I've used peroxide for YEARS on wounds esp for livestock.....but it will interfer with new growth of cells for healing even tho it does good for infections. Isn't it peroxide that can be used to induce vomiting if nothing else is at hand in case of poisoning.....I 'think' so.....have to take a certain amount tho but isn't much. Blondes have more fun barfing Pam

Hey, sis..you would not even recognize this ole blonde bombshell now....I have put more brown in my hair.....Still got some blonde streaks but figured the peroxide may be seeping into my brain and I better reduce the amount LOL....Butt, if they start using it for ch treatment, who knows..I may become one of their gunea pigs ...smiles,nancyc
