I just had to share this with you all! Back in 2001 before I had my anurysm surgery and I was not yet chronic, 2 nurses who are dear friends of mine came to my home to watch what happened when an attack occured. At the time, they came at the same time most every day. They had never seen a patient from the onset of an attack and most of the doctors at the practice had never seen one either. So we came up with the idea of video taping it and with the help of my brother in law who is in film and tv, we were able to do it. We set up an evening where all the doctors could see it, and they were blown away to say the least. After my surgery, my surgeon had me see a migraine specialist and they both wanted to see the video as well. I also keep a migraine journal and do my best to start charting what is happening to me as the migraine grows. They too were blown away. Well tonight my surgeon called me and asked permission to use the video and if I would send him a month's worth of copies of my journal to present at a conference he was doing with some other doctors here in the state to aide them in seeing what happens! Most doctors will never see an actual onset of an attack with a patient in their entire career, so this is going to be an ideal presentation! I may even get to speak at this thing once it's all lined up! So it's just an idea, but you may want to think of doing something like this as well. The practice that I go to has 7 different doctors in it and we are humble enough to admit that we are all learning together about these types of headaches because they are so rare and difficult to treat. I was just so excited that I had to pass this on to you all! Hope it gives you some ideas to help your doctors learn too. Keep those journals active and be as specific as you can when you chart your attacks. God Bless!

That's great! Did your aneurysm burst? I had a burst brain aneurysm in 1999. CH aside...that was the mother of all headaches. Good thing was- morphine helped.
