Title: Okay this seems really stupid... Post by Cynlee on Dec 7th, 2004, 3:12am I had an "interesting" experience today. Of course I was at work when this happened, TG it was only a 5 hit. But I am still scratching my head about this one. Well the only way to describe this is I heard a clap like something popped, a deep knuckle crack. Or someone threw a rock at your head (the noise it would make). I dont know any other way to describe it. I thought my nose was bleeding, within secs my finally "normal" looking eye was bloodshot and swollen. (TG for a little relief over the weekend dispite the freaking RAIN!) So anyway has anyone else ever experienced anything like this? It has happened in the past while I was asleep I thought it was in a dream, apparantly its not. Could this just be related to the pressure? Any thoughts or ideas? hmmm :-/ |

Title: Re: Okay this seems really stupid... Post by nani on Dec 7th, 2004, 6:12am Not stupid, Cyn...but odd. I have heard sounds in my head twice: once when a brain aneurysm burst and once about 3 months after the surgery for it. It's obviously not the same thing, or you wouldn't be here to tell us about it. I wish I could help you, but I have no clue. [smiley=huh.gif] |

Title: Re: Okay this seems really stupid... Post by catlind on Dec 7th, 2004, 7:36am That sounds eerily similar to what they call a thunder clap headache. If it's not the normal pattern to your cluster put in a call to your neuro asap, just because you are used to headaches doesn't mean you ignore changes in their patterns. Something else could be going on, always check with your doc when things like that happen. Cat |

Title: Re: Okay this seems really stupid... Post by nani on Dec 7th, 2004, 8:11am Cyn- I just read up on thunderclap HA and I think you should go to the doc today. Cat is right- if it's different, see a doc. Let us know how things turn out. |

Title: Re: Okay this seems really stupid... Post by Jeepgun on Dec 7th, 2004, 8:36am I was on the cusp of sleep once, and heard a HUGE "BLAM!!" like someone had fired a shotgun in the room! I jumped out of bed and my wife asked me what was wrong. It took me a second to realize that the sound had happened inside of my head, rather than in the room. Weird... |

You shouldn't take a chance. Better be safe and rule out anything more serious. Some headaches are signs of potentially dangerous "on goings" in the noggin. Some are just more of the "at least it won't kill ya" kind. Be safe! Quite a few of us have multiple types of HA that accompany the CH party in our heads. I used to think that you can only have one. Go figure....Anyway.... If there is any change......Call your Doc!!!!! Be well!!!! Eric |

Title: Re: Okay this seems really stupid... Post by Ruth on Dec 7th, 2004, 9:16am Cynlee, I have had that experience, but only happened while going to sleep. Except no problems with the eye or anything like that. I also have experienced a zapping sensation in my head, like wires short circuiting. I would talk to the Doctor about your experience. Pretty weird stuff, huh! Ruth |

Title: Re: Okay this seems really stupid... Post by Cynlee on Dec 7th, 2004, 10:06pm Oh my, I guess I should take things more seriously. I always put things off, I suppose because it didnt kill me its okay right. :-/ I really dont mean that its just how I think sometimes. I just called the blasted dr's office (a couple hours before) to reschedule a week later because I "thought" things were okay. Guess I am going to call them in the am and see about getting my appointment back. Thanks for your feedback everyone... Love and Light Cynthia |
