Title: Gadget freaks hit new low! Post by BobG on Dec 5th, 2004, 9:03pm http://www.garmin.com/products/forerunner201/graphics/pt-ProductSize.jpg This gadget, worn on the wrist, is for those irritating running freaks that think the middle of the street belongs to them. Here's it's features................My comments are in bold 1. GPS provides location information. GPS? Do you get lost while running? If yes, please stop and go back to the home. You have no business being out on the street alone. 2. Mark specific locations, and then look-up and navigate to these points. You’re going running but don’t know where you’re going or how to get there? Good luck dumb-ass. 3. Retrace your steps to a starting point. Your starting point is probably the nut-house. 4. Amount of calories burned. If you need a gadget to tell you how fast you are breathing, how hard your heart is beating, and how much your legs hurt then you probably should stay in the asylum. 5. is easy to use right out of the box. Let’s hope so. But if you’re so stupid to need one of these then you probably can’t figure how to even open the box. 6. Comes packaged with a wrist band. It is a wrist-worn gadget and we have to be told that it comes with a strap? Huh? $160.70 U.S.D. (for domestic US market only) Sorry Canadians. You can’t have these. This one is even more stupid than the GPS-for-idiots above. From the USA Newsweek magazine. Thirst Alert flashing light water dish for your dog. Snoopy used to carry his dog bowl in his mouth when it was low on grub, but today's tech-savvy pooch needs the ThirstAlert! dish from JoBananas Club; it lights up when the water level is low. And the deluxe version scheduled for release next year will be able to send an e-mail or text message to let you know when the bowl is empty. Starts at $19.95 (gojobananas.com). It lights up when the water is low? Is that to tell the stupid dog to stop drinking or for the dumb-ass dog owner? Does the world really need dog owners that are so stupid that they can’t see there is no water in a dog dish? The deluxe version will send an e-mail? If looking in the dish and seeing no water or flashing lights warning there is no water isn’t enough then an e-mail isn’t going to work. The dog lover is too stupid to use a computer. An animal lover this stupid shouldn't be left to care for a pet rock! God help us from the gadget freaks. |

Title: Re: Gadget freaks hit new low! Post by john_d on Dec 5th, 2004, 9:08pm I got a watch of the brand called a Suntoo? once. It had a digital compass on it and all this other shit. Problem was it was so freaken heavy I never wore it again, and then it had so much electronics on it that it killed the battery in 6 months. my motto for watches now is keep it light and make sure it tells the time. ;) |

I had watch sorta like that. It also a mini camera, Swiss army knife, AM radio, pedometer, calorie counter thermometer/barameter and it even had a button to push to get the phone number to call to get the time of day. ;;D |
