I met you guys way after general cluster put his stamp upon me and mine...........but b4 i had teenagers [smiley=huh.gif]LOL HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o Suddenly and seemingly overnite those lil darlins have turned into pre-adult demons :D I have three girls. Two of them are teenagers now and busting my bawls like i cain't tell ya :D I know there lies beneath two most beeee-U-tiful women, but for some reason they keep acting like regula bitches ;;D................ |

I will say that the very qualities that are making you nuts will likely make them phenomenal women. And the best news is...they will grow out of it...someday. I've raised (and am raising) both girls and boys, and boys are harder as little ones ...girls are harder as teens. Good luck...I'll be sending prayers. ;;D |

I'm already wondering how in the hell I'm gonna make it through and we don't officially hit teen years for another 3 months. Someone once told me all you can do is love them, that they have learned all they are going to learn from you by the time they are 8. Something tells me that mine learned all the bad stuff :-/ Just how do you cure the disease to please in an 11 year old girl? Cat |

Mine are 14 and 11 both girls fight like crazy - the 14 yr old (Sami) is beyond moody. She doesn't talk - she snaps. I have been informed that I am not cool, and that SHE is a "hotty". WTF? now the 11 yr old is taking attitude lessons from the 14 yr old......... so I got it coming at me from both of them now... it's all about BOYZ...(and that IS with a Z - on the downlow........) i'm sorry kim - if you find the answers - lemme know - wuddya? gotta love em..... tina |

Everything I did was stupid, everything I cooked was gross, and I was a continual embarassment to her when her friends were around. In her eyes, the only time I was a good mom was when I was buying her something she really, REALLY wanted! She's 21 now, and a treasure. We're actually becoming good friends. She's starting to say things like, "Gosh Mom, you were right all those times you told me ...... " All I can say is, it's Hell while you're there, but it DOES get better! Kris |

Raising teenagers of any sex is somewhat akin to nailing jello to a tree! Hang in there - it will pass - y'all will survive and one day you'll look back and laugh. I agree with those who have said - you're not their friend, you're the parent - and sometimes the answer just has to be "Because I said so!"
