Title: Watching The Clock
Post by Sylvan on Dec 4th, 2004, 9:44am
Is anyone else a clock watcher?

I find myself watching the clock (well - through one eye at least) during these hits. Don't know if it helps or not - but somehow knowing it will end and saying "just five more minutes" seems to help me get through.

I have noticed that i seem to get a warning that things are about to get much worse - and then much better very shortly. I always seem to yawn, then get a really bad surge - then it starts winding down.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Ya know - i was actually starting to get hopeful that this was over. 4 days of only shadows and some wake-up calls that didn't require pacing or rocking - then i got slammed again last night out of the blue. almost 2 hours.

Never watched.....
Just checked when began and when ended so that I could record the duration.

Sorry to hear about the rope-a-dope but it too will pass.

Live life!!

At night, before getting oxygen, and all I had was the trex n/s with ice packs, I'd check what time I took it occasionally.  Knowing that it was getting down to when there was only five or ten minutes more of hanging on to go would be helpful.
Now with oxygen, it's not a priority to check the time when I've awoken, but I kinda check how long it was since the last time I was up (I never remember anyway).  If I keep getting up more than every hour and a half, I take a trex too, to help better with the bad ones and to try and get some damn sleep.

Yes, I check the clock when one starts and then sometimes during the attack and always when they end.
It is ironic the routines we share as clusterheads, isn't it.

Actually, I never watch the time when I'm getting hit. Probably because one minute feels like hours with CH!

That's me. I'm fanatical about my diary. TG, it's mostly PF I record these days. ;)
