Title: strangest thing just happened...
Post by nani on Dec 3rd, 2004, 12:41pm
I sit here most of the morning, reveling in my "clusterheadedness". Start gettin hit, get up and decide since I'm gonna pace anyway I can get a load of laundy going. Probably a k 4 during this. Get all the clothes in the washer, k6 by now, and think- hmmm I have a headache. What's up with that? Wish it would go away. And then suddenly it hits me - hey! I have CH. Shit- I have CH. It seems I actually FORGOT that for a few minutes. Very strange indeed.... :-/

See that's the thing...it never leaves me alone. I've had ONE PF day this year! Maybe it's early onset Alzheimers or all those other "meds" I took in the 70s.... [smiley=frown.gif]

For me I think it is wishful thinking when I skip one during the day, I just kind of hope that it will happen again.  Been stil with about 4 a  day right now.  That is good.  Not looking forward to the 9+ that I get a times.
Sorry Nani, I understand. I know that does not halp with the pain, but at least it is better then nothing.

wish we could all forget.

take a little vacation,
hang a do not disturb sign on our brains...

anything to escape.

(I feel like that, and I only get hit 3-4 times a year.)

I am in awe that you can function to do laundry...
(I feel guilty that I haven't done my laundry in awhile...
;)  )

Cheers

I had something strange happen today too!!! It's been well over a year since I last visited you guys.  I had been out of work for a year and in and out of the hospital.  I had been diagnosed with CH as well as Cronic Migraine and Atypical facial pain.  I had been having seizures and well, they were not really seizures at all but psudoseizures caused by the pain my body was experiencing.  Since then, I have learned to cope with the pain.  My CH had been at bay for a while almost 6 months now.  I thought that they were gone forever then about 6 days ago WAM they started again.  I started back to work in July after being out a whole year.  I am just so afraid that the shit is going to hit the fan again.  I can not take Imitrex or any of the other triptans because I am a high stroke risk  I get loaded up on narcotics at night because that is when it hits the worst.  About 5 starting in the late afternoon and lasting through the night.  Well, I just wanted to touch base and get it off my chest.  For everyone knows that no one can know like all of you do what it is like .
thanks for listening.
Nancy

Wow, to all you guys getting hit left & right ......... my prayers go out to you.  I have to admit (and please don't stone me), I've been pain free now for 1 1/2 years !  Well, pain free from the clusters .........perhaps it's the stress in my life that keeps them away ....... who knows, I just know I am grateful !

Nani, you are lucky!  When a hit starts for me, I go from nothing to full hit (whether a KIP 6 or a KIP 9) in about 5 minutes MAX!!!  No way I can get a load of laundry in, before I am dancing or head banging.

Also, as far as forgetting I have CH, I do the same thing, but only at night.  I wake up with a headache, and I think, DAMN!!!  I wish this headache would go away!!!  Sonmabitch, it hurts like the devil !!!  SHIT!!!  What can I do about this??   OH!!!  DUH!!!  Get on the O2, ya dumbass!!!  This is a CH hit!  26 years of this kerap, and 6 years chronic, and I still do that!

NancyAnn, have you ever used O2?  (Oxygen)  If you have and it did not work, were you doing it the right way?  If you don't follow the EXPLICIT directions, it will not work:  Between 8 to 15 lpm (litre per minute), with a non-rebreathing mask, taken AS SOON AS you feel it coming on.

I also cannot take trex or any triptans.  O2, and this site, are the only reasons I am not pushing up daisies right now.

Good for you, Nani. Try actively try to forget that I have CH, but it doesn't let me forget.
I do hope that soon you CAN forget all about ch because of long series of PF days!  :)

Have a PFday,

That is a very strange thing to happen but what is worse is that you have them year round with no breaks, that is very sad. :( I just do episodes thank god.
I think sometimes when I am having them, I also have temporary brain damage, I forget things, maybe that is what happened.
Get some rest if you can and take care.
