Title: Just wanted to say THANKS!
Post by Cynlee on Nov 29th, 2004, 11:23pm
Thanks to everyone who shares their stories and lives to help others and themselfs. I have learned so much about CH. I remember the first time I heard about CH's it was three years ago, I was eposidic and didnt know it at the time. I was in danger of losing my job, the doc thought I was crazy. She kept prescribing naproxin grrr Anyway I probably stumbled upon this or a similar site and winced at the thought of the unbearable pain so many endured for so many years. As my doc was convinced my headaches were "in my head" I began to believe this as well. Thankfully the horror only lasted two weeks. Brief lapses of 3 - 5 days of "the beast" intermittantly for the last three years, and finally Oct 7th of this year it hit and has not let up since. I was finally formally diagnosed Nov 18th after switching to the third doc in just over a month. I dont know where this is going to go or what the purpose is of me sharing this. Its just hell everything about it, as I am typing I feel the beast. I am his puppet and the show is ready to begin.

Sorry you're having a bad time, hun.  [smiley=hug.gif] Maybe now that you have a diagnosis you can get some treatment. Talk to your dr about prevents and abortives. We're here whenever you need to vent. Hang in there...

Lots of great info and great people on this site. Definitely check out abortives such as o2, Imitrex or Zomig NS, and also some prevents (if you haven't checked into it already.) I hope you get a break soon.

Peace,
Carl D
