I'm sorry.....I KNOW yer all sick and tired of me.......sigh......but um.......I am gettin all this Firewall communications alerts suddenly and can NOT get rid of them even tho I check NO do not allow at this time. They keep popping up over and over and over. Fineally got around the last one just moveing it OVER on the screen waiting for my answer to allow or not allow. One was sumthing it said was installed today.......I don't think so !! One is Web rebates_WebReb ?? WTF ??  Other is search assistant v5,12.0.13 ?? Next one is download Module v1,0.0.8. Um any ideas what that is about ? It won't go away.....McAfee firewall stuff. Then I got a notice a program I never heard of had to close cuz of it. Any advice.........brain overload pain in the ass by nature Pam

First, what firewall are you using?
Second, is it set to remember what is allowed or not?

Is should slow down in a few days with a new firewall once it gets the basic allowed/disallowed.

Needing the firewall is the pain in the butt, not you.  :)

It's McAfee firewall.......and it just keeps popping up saying the two programs are tryin to access the internet and I hit no do not allow and it just POPS back up over and over....wierd. I don't recognize the programs tho to let it go and it says it was downloaded on here TODAY ? So much bad stuff goin on and this thing is screw'd up enuff. I tried to download the one adware program and once I got it on here it ran a search then said I had to register and pay $ 30.00 via credit card to get it to remove anything. Had TWO programs do that to me in a row that said they ran free scans and were great for keepin spyware out....but I guess I didn't read between the lines cuz yeah....free scan.....but not for 'the fix'. I deleted the programs off here. If it wasn't for crap I wouldn't have any shit at all Pam  :P  (is it Friday yet ??)

Pam,
Didn't you get my email, I will have to send it again. I use spybot, well i used to, and it is free. Just get it from Here (http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10122137.html?part=104443&subj=dlpage&tag=button).
Install and get the updates before scanning.
Don't buy anything without asking here first, Most of the pay for software, also called shareware, spyware removers are a rip off of adaware or spybot.

Cootie. Get Ad-Aware 6.0 and run that in addition to Spybot - Search and Destroy. What one doesn't pickup the other will.

Carl is right Pam. Ad-Aware 6.0 is free- both the scan and the removal software. After running the scan, if you're not sure about what you're deleting- you can quarantine before deleting. PM me if you have any trouble.
