Title: request to borrow Jonny's boot!
Post by cschick on Nov 26th, 2004, 6:53pm
Or can I just have a bunch of pissed of Clusterheads on my doorstep in about 4 or 5 hours to kick his butt for me when he gets home?  I am still having the pain in my side and just in general not feeling real great - slept for almost 4 hours this afternoon.  He wanted me to go to urgent care BUT didn't want to go there with me because he was "so tired".  *note- he slept for 3 hours this afternoon*  So I said I wasn't going alone because when I went last week they wanted to give me a shot that would help me sleep because I haven't been sleeping well because I keep getting sharp pains that kind of take my breath away - bring me out of a deep sleep.  They won't let me drive if they give me the shot.  So his best friend calls 30 minutes ago and away they go to the bar leaving me home to deal with a wound for sound child and a sick dog.  Elvis had too much turkey yesterday - he has the doggy trots - so we are running outside every 30 minutes for him to potty.  Poor little thing.  So who can be here in about 5 hours to beat his ass for me?

Thats it Karen.. no giving him that bar of chocolate when it gets there!!
I'll give you my "special" chocolate cake recipe instead. Give it to him in his lunchbox so its not your loo that backs up mind..
My boots aren't big enough luvvie but I'll come and help you hide the evidence if you need!!
Feel better now?! ;)

Just toss all of his stuff out on the front lawn, change the locks.

Oh. A man should not be without his dog. Bag up all of Elvis's remnants and leave him a bag full to remember the pooch by.

Then he just dropped me off because he hates hospitals......... what a schmuk considering the care I give to him ALL THE TIME... We women are loyal puppies... and sometimes ya just gotta show em that in order for you to give you ocasionally need to get too... http://www.animationlibrary.com/Animation11/Clothing/Shoes/Brown_boots.gifkick him with these from Ree who knows how ya feel...

My otherwise wonderful hubby once left me alone with a sick 12 month old when I had a severe case of stomach flu. (the baby had it,too.) He had tickets to a basketball game he "just couldn't miss". He has moments like these now and then, and I always remind myself- "He's a great husband, but he's still a man. Guess he can't help himself."
I'll help ya kick his ass, Karen. I went shopping today and have some hostility I need to resolve... >:(

Thanks you guys.  I feel better since I vented a bit.  He just doesn't get it.  There are other things going on besides this and this is just one of the small things.  I do like Don's idea of throwing his stuff in the yard with an Elvis remnant!  heeheehee!

Too bad hubby didn't get the 'trots' instead of the dog.....that would of been a better excuse not to go with ya. He's avoidin the issues by goin to the bar.....and enjoyin the 'everyone there knows yer name syndrome' fun. Trots 'n shots Pam   [smiley=me&mb.gif]

Dear cschick,

Quite an interesting letter. You sure do seem to have garnered support from the other single egg-dropping crowd. And a couple of guys trying to suck up and cop a feel, too.

It's obvious he cares. In a manly way.

He didn't want to be a weight around your neck. His only concern was you getting the best possible treatment. If you only had let him sleep in untill 11 AM or so, things might have gone differently.

on 11/26/04 at 18:53:17, cschick wrote:
when I went last week they wanted to give me a shot that would help me sleep

OBVIOUSLY he cares. He's seen this before, and knows what's needed. He's no doctor, but he sure wants you to GET to one.

You're in no condition to drink, and this sure beats the hospital, doesn't it?

Hmmmmmmm. OK. You can't properly take care of a dog, but he's supposed to know the innermost workings of a woman? Hmmmmmmm.

Why, no one, of course. You married his ass, you can beat it into submission. After all, you're the one that's going to have to sleep next to it Ohhhhhh, for about the next 50 years or so.
This has been a valuable learning experience for you. Your husband is obviously a caring man. If you would just let him get enough sleep, he'd be better able to help you. And don't forget, a man needs to spend a little time blowing off some steam at the local pub after tending to a woman all (or some) of the day. Blaming the dog on him is beneath your dignity.

Glad to help,
RJ

First of all I am a little sensitive right now - not really me.  I am usually very happy and sensitive to others pain but I am feeling a bit selfish right now.  I know that RJ was just joking but it struck me the wrong way this morning.  Damn, I need back on the Lexapro.   [smiley=laugh.gif]
I am ok really.  Just needed to gripe it all out.  It sounded so whiny and stupid now in the light of day and I apologize to all for being a (borrowing on the LeLimey/Helen's terms) stupid cow.   :D
I am going to the Dr. on Friday Dec 3 and having a full work-up so if there is something really wrong he will find it.
Ree- my head is ok this morning in both ways - I am feeling better after reading these responses - RJs really was funny and as for CH - just shadowing.  Not bad at all.

I hope you are all well and PF this morning.  I remembered you all in my prayers last night and will continue to do so even though you piss me off!  It's good to stay pissed off to fight the beast!   [smiley=laugh.gif]  (there I am back again to my ol' smartass self!)

You aren't, can't and never will be a silly cow like me so there! :P
There is nothing wrong with admitting you are fed up.. its far better than bottling it all up!
Glad you are feeling better

I know I've said this before, but I'm doin' it again.

Men, ya can't live with them - it's against the law to shoot them, but we could go take a course in how you turn them into lawn ornaments! ;;D

Indeed I did - but you're the exception to the rules - no turning you or your boot into garden decor!  Then what would we all do when we wanted a boot or a good man!

There, am I back out of the doghouse now? :-*

Sorry I was a no show.

But the above quote reflects Randy showed up.   ;)    However, prayers including his name just makes it tougher on the rest of us though.  It implicates us as co-conspirators, aiding and abetting.
jonny's boot has been known to get a reprieve though, to keep the scales of justice balanced.

Randy is pretty funny, I have been paying attention to his posts for like 1 1/2 years and I have never seen him actually be mean to anyone.  It's the guys that you can never tell if they are being serious or joking that are some of the funniest posters, don's the other one.
