Title: A ? for a CH'er who has seen another get hit... Post by Carl_D on Nov 26th, 2004, 2:36pm Just wondering... If you are a CH sufferer, and have seen someone else get hit with one, do you ever find yourself either going into an attack, or being in one, and having the image of that person and moment flash in your mind vividly? I can always see the look on Linda H's face getting up from her table during Saturday afternoons presentation at convention. Thinking of you Linda. [smiley=hug.gif] Peace, Carl D P.S. - I remember what is was like to wonder if anyone else knew what this was like. I found out without a doubt in '99 and think about all of you. |

Yup. Remember you getting hit, and a couple of others. I also remember you looking up at me coming out of one I think it was Sunday morn. But yes, the brain has definitely gone south. Glad I keep a spare door key in my wallet because forgot even THAT today. And John, I think it should be a requirement that if you have CH, that you meet someone else who has it. Try making a meet & greet near you, or the next convention. It is like a religious experience. Peace & unsound mind, Carl D |

Title: Re: A ? for a CH'er who has seen another get hit.. Post by Jayne on Nov 27th, 2004, 10:55am I was talking to a fellow clusterhead on the phone once and they were talking about an attack and the whole time they were talking I was getting ice pick stabs in the head, I have met many clusterheads over the years and I am grateful for it. This year at convention, I met Brad for the first time and we had a good talk for about 15 minutes. It was strange, because for the first 30 seconds as I looked into his eyes, it was like meeting a long lost brother that you knew without knowing. His eyes told me his story without words. I think we have the same eyes Brad for sure. It was so nice to meet you Brad. (and you of course Cootie) |

Title: Re: A ? for a CH'er who has seen another get hit.. Post by Charlie on Nov 27th, 2004, 1:24pm Sadly, I've seen a few now. I've never had that experience of course but I guess there is a bit of a sympathic twinge, if not pain. It makes me feel useless most of the time. Hope you get a break for the next 875 years Carl. Title: Re: A ? for a CH'er who has seen another get hit.. Post by Mark C on Nov 28th, 2004, 5:49pm It was truly a moving thing for me to not only meet my first Clusterhead but to actually witness another get hit at NashCon. I will never forget either.......I know how he felt.......and he I.......... I will also relish the memory of Luke and I racing through the Hotel to provide another Clusterhead under attack with a full tank of O2, new mask and hydrator ready to go @ 15LPM! Even better was to see said Clusterhead back at the patio in about 30 minutes......oh yeah.....THAT was sweet! Sympathy HA's? Not yet...... *WHEW* 399 days PF (!) Mark |

Title: Re: A ? for a CH'er who has seen another get hit.. Post by cschick on Nov 28th, 2004, 5:54pm Reading this thread and seeing the pictures of Jonny and Donna D having a CH, I am truly going to be a MESS when I meet you all in Dallas next year. It pains me so much just to read the threads from people who are having bad days, a bad week, a bad cycle, it is going to KILL me to see another get hit. I will probably just be in tears the whole time. I am a very motherly type and will just want to take it away from everyone. I shouldn't be in cycle then, but you better believe I will be toting along my 02 tank for those that need it! Karen the emotional one |

Title: Re: A ? for a CH'er who has seen another get hit.. Post by thomas on Nov 29th, 2004, 12:15am I have not been hit since before the last Midwest meet and greet, Davcon 04. But I have seen many get hit then and since then, it is an experience that I wish I didn't have to re-live again. I am so thankful for my ex-girlfriend, Lynn's compassion and understandind during my attacks, she really did try to do her best to take care of me. Since I have been with Gena and have seen some one that I love and care about go through this shit, it kills me. Being a supporter is much worse than being a sufferer, I know, because I have been both. Leesa, Jackie, Anthem, Wife of ch man, Cootie, Minnie, Margi, Lisa H, Bente, Bill's wife(racer_1NC) Cathi 04(Yoo are one of my supporters, I don't give a shit what others might say, love you girl![smiley=heart.gif]............. I know I forgot a lot of you, and I'm sorry, but you are all dear in my heart, please know that, just because I didn't mention your name, doesn't mean I don't think about you. You supporters RULE!!!!!!!!!!!! And it is my most driving vision and dream to never have to see another person get hit again. Please some one, GOD, or somebody, make this fucker go away.......................................................please...................... i just can't stand to see the pain that I have gone through reflected on some one elses face...................... God I know you are out there, please give some one the wisdom and knowledge to beat this thing, too many wonderful people are suffering................... :'( |

Title: Re: A ? for a CH'er who has seen another get hit.. Post by Margi on Nov 29th, 2004, 11:02am what's even harder for a supporter is seeing their sufferer see a cluster attack for the first time. We tend to want to shield you from seeing that pain. It's enough that you have to feel it, but to have to witness it and feel the helplessness is a whole other ball game. Thomas, thanks for the kind words. ;) |

Title: Re: A ? for a CH'er who has seen another get hit.. Post by Jeepgun on Nov 29th, 2004, 11:18am I saw Clusterchuck get hit several times at NashCon, and each time, I got tears in my eyes. My only thought was, give it to ME! Let ME have it so he can have some pain-free time.... And I feel that way for every one of you. If there were some quotient of pain that had to be satisfied, I would gladly take it on so that all of you could be pain-free. As awful as CH is, I think it may be more hellish to be a supporter. To each of you who are supporters, hats off to you. My deepest gratitude for your strength, love, and support to each of us that suffers with this nightmare. :'( |
