Lord,

Forgive me for being so stressed out yesterday that i accidently forgot to take the turkey out of the freezer (a little help, pleeze)... oh - and........

Thank you for helping Brian find a second job - but forgive me for freaking out that he is not here rite now to help me with the freaking frozen turkey.....oh - and

forgive me for being so stressed out yesterday that i drank all the freaking beer (except for three Michelobs that i ALSO left in the freezer which are now freaking FROZEN....oh - and.............

GAWD HELP ME. Next thing is Christmas and i'm already up shits creek without a paddle [smiley=laugh.gif]

soak your turkey under cold running water. COLD RUNNING water. It should thaw enough to cook in about 2-3 hours.

doing that now. made the mashed potatos (with a turnip and some garlic) - ready to go. working on stuffing now (hope there is no ciggarette butts in it ;;D) That freakin BIRD is in the sink under the cold water.....Brian just called and i YELLED at him to hurry up and git his ASS home ;;D

oh boy. Girl, I feel your pain. I am a good cook but I am just not feeling it this year. I forgot to take the turkey out of the fridge yesterday and put it in cold water overnight - ended up doing the cold water thing this morning and the bird is in the oven as I type. Hoping it is done by noon - if not I bought a ham as a back up. [smiley=laugh.gif] don't fret about the food - its about friends, family and laughter and fun! We're here for ya! PM if you need some help!

LOL, i wonder how many sinks are making that friendly cold water sound? :D

..............so. i jest have ta butter a dish and put the sutffing init and then deposit in fridge until appropriate time for warming. Brian is still at work but cawling on arugala basis jest in case ...LOL.

We will ultimately place our ass in the seats assigned ...........food will taste good (no one will know, really :D) and we will say a family blessing which will include awl of you****You have put up with my jibberish and helped me overcome General Cluster - we are awl sitting at my table*** :) we are awl together, laughing, being regular folks walking thru life with a hand to hold and hearts afire***

pSSSST: I have a s neaking suspicion that Brian is pissed. LOL. He just got in the car to go and buy a new Turkey Thermometer....... ::)

i am ASTOUNDED at how quickly the TURKEY THERMOMETER materialized............(plus my kitchen now sounds like an automotive repair shop so i guess the gravy boat is in town) :o

If you don't here from me within the next few hours, that means that i've been smothered and stuffed in the closet...........i afraid to enter the kitchen. it is the sound of the electric gravy mixer............... :o

Murphy's LAW!!! Things always go wrong on Thanksgiving -- drink the beer and don't worry about things. It'll be something to laugh about later (like next year!).

Next time that happens use a pressure cooker to cook the bird. It gets done and no one knows the difference. Ask me how I know that! My mother ALWAYS forgot to put the bird out to thaw.... We used the pressure cooker for years until Grandmother banished Mom from the kitchen.

Hope your day turned out good - bet it did.
