Title: Dreams Post by becky8 on Nov 24th, 2004, 10:16am I know that word is probably forun to most, I do wake up several times a night but unless its a bad one I just go back to sleep (thanks to melatoin) but when I am getting hit. I have really strange dreams like someone coming at me with ax, or someone chasing me with a gun. I have even woke and had tears streaming down my face from crying. I think I am being hit and dreaming at the same time, thats why they're always so scary and creepy. Does this happen to anyone else??? Tell us And no sex dreams please, we know you guys have them!!!LOL!!!! |

Title: Re: Dreams Post by IHateSequelsNotH on Nov 24th, 2004, 10:21am Yes. I always get lucid dreaming during a cycle and I can get so trapped in the dreams that the headache progresses, gets worse. The violence in the dreams is more of a hyper reality, so clear, so intense. I can still remember dreams and parts of dreams from ten years ago. I still remember one and I was breaking this girl out of an asylum and I was surrounded by guards, police. They are firing into me, Im firing back from behind wheelchair and trying to keep her safe on the ground. yea they can be really haunting b.c its so vivid Don't recall any sex dreams anyways but the pain would take care of that peace love Andrew |

Title: Re: Dreams Post by Jeepgun on Nov 24th, 2004, 12:07pm The sex dreams are nice. The combat dreams are hellish. The drowning dreams are full of panic. (and no, not related to sleep apnea, that I know of... I suspect they are leftover memories from a past life.) |

Title: Re: Dreams Post by Hirvimaki on Nov 24th, 2004, 12:14pm Oh, and I rarely remember my dreams. I have had only three dreams I can remember that I would call bad dreams (not even worthy of the nightmare designation). And one truly nightmarish dream that I had when I was very young that I still recall in vivid, alarming detail. A drowning dream. In cycle, out of cycle, on meds or not - I have noticed no difference. Hirvimaki-Isi |

Title: Re: Dreams Post by cootie on Nov 24th, 2004, 1:20pm I think dreams can tell us alot about our self or our 'state of mind' so to speak. I think the being chased dreams by an ax ect is basically concepting the fact you deal with horrible pain attacks out of nowhere you can NOT control but mite feel (or see in the dreams) comeing. And you know when it gets you it will be tragic. Did that make sense ? We dream about things we are scared to death of or paroniod of in our lives we can't control. Like dreams of tryin to run and falling down and not being able to stand up or move to get away I think are clues of something goin wrong in your life that makes you feel you are not getting anywhere or slideing backwards. I used to dream extreme vivid dreams of tornados (I am petrified of them).....they were tv movie style with extreme detail I will never forget cuz there so real it is if I lived thru the ordeal. Once I stayed in a house where several were comeing in a dream and hid in a hallway.....I was scared so bad I couldn't move. All the noise and commotion and I have never been thru one. They came thru and tore everything up but the hallway protected me in my dream.....didn't think I'd make it in the dream cuz I had no place to go and there must of been 7 comeing headed my way all over the place. I haven't dreampt about them since.....guess I dealt with them in my dream. I'm still scared shitless of em tho don't get me wrong. But the nitemares and dreams stopped. Some were rather tramatic and would be sorta stressy all day they were so REAL. Mostly I dream of monsters.....Steven King style.....I'm a sci-fi nut so they don't scare me too much but.....they are out to get me or anyone they can find and they start looking for me and I have to keep running and hideing....sometimes rite past them......very very vivid in detail. I hear there foot steps and snorts.....scarey as hell. Alot are of the huge dinaosours in Jurasic Park. That show was similar to my dreams. Guess there's just alot I am afraid of and most I can't do much about.....suppose they will continue till I SLAY a monster. Snoreing in 3-D Pam The drowning would seem to be some sort of suffocateing factor of life.....where something is overwhelming you to the MAX extreme one way or the other and over doing it all the time. Almost to much....whatever it is.....just a thought. Now...did I explain that rite.....if not SORRY ! :P Edited cuz my spelling sucks big time............... |

Title: Re: Dreams Post by Jeepgun on Nov 24th, 2004, 1:36pm You are correct, Cootie. When I first embarked on a new spiritual path, several years ago, I was worried that it would completely uproot my life. I had a dream in which a kind, elderly woman was standing outside of my house. In my dreams, houses represent me. The seat of consciousness. Where I "dwell," so to speak. In the dream, she reached up and plucked a corner off of the house, deftly fashioned it in her hands, and held her palm out to me. In her palm was a sequoia sapling growing in a mound of dark soil. :) The implications of the dream were very encouraging. In one of my dreams of drowning, the person drowning me was my sister, from whom I've been estranged from for fourteen years. (Her choice, not mine) Some dreams are clairvoyant, and others, horrifying, but nearly all of them bring some form of insight. -Frank |

Title: Re: Dreams Post by echo on Nov 24th, 2004, 1:48pm Here my 2 cents, As a young adolecent I began having a dream of a young woman who was always in any of my dreams but did not have a face. She was either with me or at a distance looking at me. As the years went by I continued to have the dream of this faceless woman on a recurring basis. Even throught my multiple relationships and marriages I continued to have the dream of this faceless woman. Then one evening I had the dream and the faceless woman now had a face. It woke me up, startled the crap out of me. The face belonged to a woman I had met that day during a meeting. That woman is now my wife. I have never dreamed again of the faceless woman or any other woman other than my wife. |

I thought maybe I was having a CH attack and still dreaming but thats why they were dreams of being hurt all the time? It's really very intresting. Only got these kind of dreams since the CH got chronic |

Title: Re: Dreams Post by Charlie on Nov 24th, 2004, 5:43pm Interesting and fun stuff here kids. My dreams that I remember are pretty dull. The most common is my walking/running around city streets in a city that is usually a composite of several places. Not much happens. I'm often in a battle of some kind. It's a dangerous deal and I just miss getting killed with arrows or bullets but it's never an Indian fight. Weird. The only real nightmare is when most of my dead relatives are back and hanging around.... :o Horrible.. I suppose if I had a seizure, it would affect them but I think CH just knocked me out of bed. Title: Re: Dreams Post by Carl_D on Nov 24th, 2004, 5:48pm I have very real, very vivid dreams. Very surreal, sometimes I wake up in shock that it was just a dream. Some are very apocalyptic and gory, and wonder sometimes if my ultra-violent dreams aren't brought on by head pain during sleep. I think it possible, especially in dreams where I am being tortured (which I have too often.) Either way, right now life is a nightmare both asleep or awake. Fuck me Freddy, Carl D *In my younger days, I slept like the dead. Nothing woke me. Not even mass bombings. Never remembered many dreams. Boy did CH ever change that over the years. |

Title: Re: Dreams Post by notseinfeld on Nov 26th, 2004, 1:34am Great Topic and kicking myself for not arriving first--- In the spirit of good topics: 2 years ago had a whopper of a season (even for being chronic) and had a recurring dream for what appeared to be 6 or 7 nights in a row. Seems I'm a crazy, steel wearing 19th century warrior in battles ala Braveheart during these nocturnal visions. After some mighty fine kills and general invulnerability there's this SOB somewhere on the right shooting arrows in my right temple. One after the other until I can feel the blood trickle down face---then I awake with a screaming headache, clutch my skull and implement whatever coping skills I can muster. Every night, same SOB, same arrows, same headache. *Special Note: A steel-tipped arrow into your brain through your temple is a K-7. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. |

Title: Re: Dreams Post by john_d on Nov 26th, 2004, 11:45am I like when I get a chance to get up in the morning and then go back to bed, I have the best dreams then. The wildest dream I had was in the navy when I had to get up to do pt (push-ups and shit) at 4AM and then went back to bed. I dreamt I was flying, it was incredibly lucid also. |

Title: Re: Dreams Post by taraann on Nov 28th, 2004, 12:55am That is awesome Echo! I think some dreams are prophetic. I used to have dreams that meant nothing or nightmares. Until my early twenties. When I was pregnant with my first child, at the end of my first trimester I had a dream where I was in the maternity ward looking through the glass at the babies. When I tried to look into the bassinet where my baby was all I could see was a pink blanket but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't turn my head to look at my baby. A few days later at an appt. I found out I had miscarried. Didn't dream again (none that I could remember anyways) until a few years later. In that dream I dreamt my mother dropped dead at her parents old house. Then later in that dream I was at a funeral sitting in the last pew chit chatting and laughing with my mother like always. A week later my mother died ina freak one car accident. To state the obvious I don't like to dream anymore. And haven't dreamed since then and that was three years ago. |

I can actually feel the pain of them coming out and BANG I'm awake with a whopper CH. I also have really horrible dreams of someone taking Colin. Don't want to talk about those ones. |

Title: Re: Dreams Post by Cynlee on Nov 28th, 2004, 5:35pm What an interesting topic. I "normally" dont dream. However, lately I have started dreaming and they stick in my craw all day. They are mostly disturbing dreams, blood, gore, and devistation. Oddly enough my dad is usually in them. I think it is some resentment I have for him BUT thats another story and probably for another site ;;D. I have had lucid flying dreams, and the most awesome dream was It was an during the Elizabethan era I was being hanged. I had this amazing gown on, I could feel, smell, and hear the surroundings. My spirit was out of my body and I peacefully observed the event. Most of my dreams would probably be considered nightmares on rare occasions they do wake me. Usually I hear a scream, yell, or a loud bang. Those are the worst and they generally result in a gnarly HA. Oh and Cootie I THOUGHT tornados were cool, they are NOT I lived in Ohio for 3 years. We had 5 tornados and an earthquake in ONE freaking night! I was so scared I could not get out of my bed to go in the basement. I was shaking so bad my dog ditched me and went to lay in the family room. That was a living nightmare! The sounds I heard come from outside was something I hope to never hear again. My room was completely elluminated with lightning bolts which were hundreds of a sec apart. It was the whitest white light in that room it was very surreal. I will take any dreams these days I havent been getting more than 3 hours sleep a night..... grrrrr |

Title: Re: Dreams Post by Jeepgun on Nov 29th, 2004, 12:55pm I was sleeping late one Saturday morning, several years ago, and began dreaming of light. Vibrant hues of pastel shades of lavender, pink, blue, yellow, and white... I awoke and found myself hovering about three feet above and three feet to the left of my physical body. It was the most incredible, exilarating experience I have ever had in my entire life. A few moments later, I found myself being drawn down into my body again, and after a moment of blackness, I awakened in my body. I was euphoric! :) |
