Dam it....dam dam dam ! I thinks I gots a virus of sorts......Trojan horse Dropper. Delf ? Most people get this crap lookin at porno websites or in chat rooms.....me......I get it lookin at wild cat pics web sites !! (what a bore I am ech ??) Anyhow.....so I'm on a web site lookin at awesome close up pics and some I save for desktop pics. Said I had to download this installer deal to get the photo gallery to view all the cool pics. Real cool pics too. So then the screen says that virus deal was detected. I do have one pic I saved off the site......on my desktop....should I delete it ? AVG detected it but full version McAFFEE didn't. Ran severl scans. So I have it supposidly stashed in AVG's virus vault so it don't spread or nothin but my computer freezes up while doin that EVERY time. But it did say it was in there when I checked. I deleted it.....was that rite or wrong ? (hit delete when in the virus vault) It mentiond to delete the files but I dunno which ones....never really gave me that info. Says it has none on that virus ? Swell. So I thought I was SMART and checked the web and downloaded NO ADWARE program free version and ran a free scan to rid myself of it and keep em out. So did all that......hour or so later it detects some junk on there but no mention of this bug inparticular. So I hit to remove them....it says I gotta register first. OK....so ya register and agree to pay $ 30.00 on yer credit card ?? Not !! Got swindled again....almost. So....to make along story longer.....now what do I do ? Why didn't Mcafee catch it ? Am I gonna infect friends. Pissed off bugged Pam

Download this instead and use it.

Ad-Aware is pretty reliable and there is a free version that has no spyware and no ads. It works very well.

Make sure and do a web update for it and then run a full system scan.

OK....thanks for the site........I been tryin to download it but nothing happens ? First it asked me if I wanted to open or save it.....I tried both. Just sat there......then it said it could not connect to the remote FTP or whatever server.....so tried again and jus sat there. Am I jus not gettin the download cuz the site is busy maybe ? Once it said it already existed ? Can't find it anywhere tho. I guess I am confused. Well......more then usual. I'll keep tryin but don't wanna send this crap to anyone.Confusious Pam

I am feeling the need to cuss profusely.....am tired of problems I don't understand. Guess you can all now say I do have COOTIES ech ? Seems alot of things got worse after the sevice pack 2 download for windows ? Outlook crashed and will not even come up. IE has strange web pages.....some pics won't show up or normal lookin web pages. Print is HUGE. Here I go WHINEING again !

Hi Pam

Whenever a site wants to install anything on your computer; NEVER say yes. There is the catch most of the time. Best thing you can do is hit "ALT-F4" to close that window, some of them even install when you click "NO"
Symantec has an online virus scan you can use, let it run when you dont need the computer.

Did you update the virus definitions of your McAfee, if not, that may be the reason why it didnt catch it.

Thanks guys......everything should be up to date on here and not sure that this trojan was anything new. I ran several scans to be sure I had it by both and only AVG caught it either time. Heard it was a good one for catching stuff and free version. So anyhow.....yeah I shoulda known better lettin that crap install off that site......live and learn ech ? Thanks for all yer help.
